Silent Hills is cancelled

Without any delay, some fans of Silent Hills have made a petition to tell Konami to bring the game back into development.

I'm not holding my breathe on this pulling a miracle. 

I love petitions and stuff but realistically....this isn't going to happen. 
1) Petitions rarely ever go anywhere
2) Petitions from the west asking for a very "ground-in-Japanese-tradition" like Konami aren't going to do anything
3) Two of the main people walked away from the project. Bringing them back in while Kojima is having Konami issues and Del Toro is working on other projects isn't realistic for them
4) The team working on the game are most likely off the project working on other stuff. You can't throw developers around and expect the project to be delivered as originally intended. People still have to put many man hours into this.
5) Konami are most likely in the crapper at this point.
6) Fans will petition for anything.

Sorry to be "that guy" (which is me in general) but this petition isn't going to go anywhere. 'Realistic' is a keyword because aside from the many other things outside of the 6 I mentioned, it's just no feasible. Trust me, I want Silent Hills too. I want it a lot....but at this stage it's not happening.

So there's a rumor that just got out that the game will be resurrected as an Xbon exclusive. I ain't holding my breathe on this.

Really? Just because it's on the Xbox One? Just like how people got pissy at Bayonetta 2 being on the Wii U when otherwise it would've never gotten a release.

I get it's not coming to the Xbox One in the first place, but you shouldn't have this state of mind just because you hate the Xbox. It'd be like me getting pissy if Phoenix Wright went on the Vita (not that I hate the vita) I wouldn't give a shit, I'd like the fact I'm getting more Phoenix Wright. I can understand if you don't have the money for an Xbox, that would sting, but it's incredibly petty to hate the fact it's not going to be on your console of choice, when originally it would've never happened at all.

It's more of the fact that Xbones are like $350 and people who played PT already sunk their money into a PS4. It doesn't make sense to (hypothetically) alienate the fanbase twice-over.

If it's a money thing, I totally understand.

But if it's like a Bayonetta 2 situation where people are getting pissed over the fact that a game that would've never been released is coming out another console that isn't their console of choice, then it's just being petty and childish.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have minded if the game had been revived but only on Xbox because that would have meant it at least had a chance of happening. I just expressed my dislike towards the console of choice.

Actually. I know a few people off of here who had the demo of P.T already downloaded to their PS4. When I told about this, they actually said to me that they didn't want to cough up extra money just to buy a console for one game because they would feel 'royally cheated' if they bought it for a different console rather than it being released for the console it was supposed to be on.
