If we were to make a new steam group, any chance of just advertising it on the forums only? I'm not trying to be mean or anything I just don't want a bunch of lurkers joining for the sake of joining.

I still have no idea who you'd want to keep out. Also I'm not planning on locking this away for myself. All the mods on the forum (And you too if you want) will be group managers and whatnot.

I assume it's just for the same reason why we would like a new group in the first place. The original DYKG group is filled with people who have propably never even been to the forums.

We are sorry you feel that way, but this requirement is in place to filter out any lurkers that don’t want to join our community and just want to spam junk that include but are not limited to: VGfacts video ideas, shilling out Let’s play/Game review/etc. channels, and crowding up the chat room talking about really weird things and alienating the rest of the us from the chatroom. Yes, we know this requirement is very mean spirited, but we do this to keep the original vision of this group: To play games together as a community. I mean come on, I’m not asking you to type me an essay on why you should be invited just keep it short and sweet.
