We have them exactly where we want them !
Give them a... eh... 3-0 lead to lull them into a false sense of security then BLAM, we sweep the last four games.
Foolproof.

And then a 4-0 sweep of the World Series? That would be cool. The last and only time a team did that is in 2004 by the Boston Red Sox.

The Indians beat the Jays in the ALCS. So.... Indians vs someone in the World Series; the Cubs evened up the series with the Dodgers.

Indianapolis Colts' kicker Adam Vinatieri has set the NFL record for consecutive field goals made at 43. He has not missed a field goal since Week 2 of the 2015 season.

During Week 8, #2 Ohio State lost to unranked Penn State and only fell 4 spots in the rankings. In their opening weekend, Tennessee won against unranked Appalachian State and FELL 8 spots.

How can you win and go down in the rankings ? Did other teams win by a wider margin ?

Win margins, other stats, and wins/losses of other teams are factored in. Since the AP Poll is voted on by 61 people, personal opinions affect this. Butch Jones pushed to get the Tennessee/Appalachian State game scheduled to be the very first FBS game this year and UT hype was really high, winning in double overtime to a team that recently came up from Division II to Division I; there was no other "big" games to watch at the time and the game was supposed to be a blow out and the first impression made was that maybe Tennessee was ranked too high.
The committee that will decide who will be the final four teams is still largely preferred versus the BCS system that used a computer and algorithms to calculate which teams would be in which end-of-season bowl games.

Well, someone did some number crunching and calculated BCS-like rankings and the results have Tennessee higher and Ohio State making a HUGE drop. Interesting comparison to the AP Poll rankings.

So, this is actually a little old and maybe not normal sports news, but I will argue that this has been by far the best street edit in blading this year. Carlos kills it.

The Cleveland Indians are up 2-1 in the World Series against the Chicago Cubs after winning 1-0.
- Fun fact stat: The last time the Chicago Cubs lost a World Series game 1-0 was in 1918 against the Red Sox. Who was pitching for the Sox? Babe Ruth.
More stats from NBA:
- Anthony Davis, of the New Orleans Pelicans, is the first person to score 90+ points combined during the first two games of the season since Michael Jordan did this in 1986.
- Russell Westbrook scored more than 50 points while getting a triple-double. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did this most recently in 1975.

What a series! Game 7 of the World Series is tonight.
The Cubs are hot. Cleveland knows that they were down 3-1 in the NBA Championship series before they won and, ironically, up 3-1 in the World Series.
The Indians, though, have Corey Kluber and Kluber has out-pitched the Cubs twice already.
History will be made.

Can't wait !! Unfortunately I'll be in a plane for most of the game, but I'm rooting for the Cubs !
Though there's the last remaining member of the last Cleveland team to win the World Series present at the game, so I'd be a bit sad if they lost.

I can't believe it ! The Chicago Cubs have won their first World Series since 1908 !
Phenomenal game, that I half followed with sporadic blips of cell data on the plane.
Cubs up 6-1, only for Cleveland to equalise in the 8th. Then onto extra innings after a brief rain-break.
Then 8-6, middle of the 10th only for Cleveland to score a run, but it wasn't enough.
Very happy for Cubs fans.

Cubs win! Cubs win! Oh my god what a game. Between the Indians catching up, the two runs scored in the top of the 10th, the rain delay, the history breaking 108 year streak that we all just got to watch, man as a baseball fan, how can you be happier. Even if you aren't a fan of the Cubs, you have to appreciate the history of tonight's game and consider yourself lucky to be one of the few who saw it unfold. That was seriously the best game 7 in a world series I think I've ever seen.
