I don't understand why there some JoJo fans are history revisionists. Saying things like "JoJo was always popular outside of Japan. Even before the anime".

No, it wasn't. Sure, it was popular among the manga hipster crowd. But here's the thing: the manga hipster crowd do not represent the manga/anime community at large. Not everyone is a fucking hipster.

Man, I love Jiren's design. He's basically a gray alien, but instead of being small and skinny he has this large, tall and muscular physique. It's so simple yet effective. It honestly surprises me that no one did this before.

Flashback Friday!

Remenber the JoJo test dub? Back in 2014, years before the JoJo anime recieved a proper dub, Crunchyroll and Bang Zoom! Entertainment made a collaboration and dubbed the first three episodes of the anime.

CabooseJr made an April Fools 2015 joke promo that basically says that JoJo was coming to Toonami. He used footage from the test dub.

And yes, a year after that April Fools joke was made JoJo DID come to the Toonami block for real. But that's besides the point.
