The opening numbers of the JoJo Diu live-action film didn't turn out to be so gureito daze.
Looking back at it this isn't really a surprise. I mean, not only the pre-release reactions of the Japanese fans were too harsh because of the deviantions regarding the source material, but the movie was released so close to the end of the part 4 anime that the casual crowd didn't really care about it.
Additionally, the movie starting in the middle of the series means that newcomers to said series aren't going to be draw to this movie either, since people jumping straight at this point aren't going to understand what's going on; for them it would be like seeing a random sequence of pure nonsense.

Apparently, Jotaro Kujo is not allowed to be added to the Wikipedia page on Marine Biologists.

I hope Twitch does another anime week. That was really fun and I kinda miss it even though I only caught like 4 shows (2 of which I'd already seen.)
Would recommend Knights and Magic, and My Hero Academia. I hear K&M is a bad adaptation, but as someone who hasn't read the source material, I'm liking the show.

True, but there's a comedic element to it and it doesn't go unappreciated. I can only wonder how many times that was deleted before someone had to post that?

So yesterday I had the opportunity to binge-watch the very first five episodes of OG Dragon Ball.
It was good. I specially like how different the atmosphere is compared with DBZ or Super.

Back in April I saw the first episode of Gunsmith Cats and told myself I'd finish the three episode OVA, never got around to that until yesterday.
It was very good and I wish it got a 26 episode anime.
Also in an annoying rant, I wish more good anime was popular. I finished Initial D in a couple of days and loved it, whereas Flip Flappers bores the hell out of me (well, with the exception of two episodes) and I've still gotta watch 5 more episodes. I don't drop stuff (usually) and this is such a short series I could finish it before the end of the day if I wanted to, but damn it's just boring.
I'd love to spark a conversation with someone about Initial D but no one has watched it beyond listening to Eurobeat, whereas I could probably discuss the "deepness" of Flip Flappers with some random dude who thinks he has great taste but in reality watches whatever is in the current season.

So I just finished watching the Emperor Pilaf Saga of Dragon Ball.
It was good. The action scenes were fairly entertaining, the humor may not be your type but it's there, the plot was simple yet effective and overall it is interesting to see the humble origins of most of the Z cast, you know, back when they were unable to destroy an entire planet with their fingers.
Looking foward to the Tournamet saga.

Stand User: Nani?
Jotaro: ORA! motherfucker, do you speak it?
Stand User: Yes
Jotaro:Then so you understand what I'm saying
Stand User: Yes
Jotaro: Describe what DIO looks like
Stand User: Nani?
Jotaro Say 'nani' again, say 'nani' again! I dare you motherfucker, I double dare ya!

Only took half a year, but I finally got my sis to sit down and watch Re:Zero. :D Love that show, and it was well received.

So I just finished watching the 21st World Martial Arts Tournamet arc of Dragon Ball.
It was good. You get to see some decent character development and and overall it was better animated than the previous arc. Out of all the fights featured my favorites are... well, pretty much any fight featuring Jackie Chun.
