I was honestly kind of surprised to see Spanish as number 1 for Guyana, many more people were interested in learning Dutch when I was there due to Guyana's very friendly and open relations with Suriname. Most people hated Venezuela and anything Spanish after the oil dispute.
But, Duolingo might not have Dutch as an option.

I had thought there was some oil found in the disputed region?
Kinda of sad how governments will push people's live around, pick around on each other over small things and tell people what to think of others from different countries. I'm glad that it settled down eventually.

After looking over my finances to check and see how much I should budget this year, I noticed I was spending £30-50 on takeaway pizza every week or so last year.
Holy shit, how did I even do that? I lived by myself as well.

This was just the last ban.

Not anything new. Annoying, bad, but not new. Should see some of the undelete posts on Reddit or the Twitch response to Yandere Simulator.

My friend who teaches in Japan is having a hard time right now.
She found out from her boss one school she teaches at has filed multiple complaints about her. You're never going to guess why... It's for not being "feminine" enough. I am not joking. I didn't realize Japan was THAT bad when it comes to gender roles. Two things she mentioned that had me in shock was that they don't like that she doesn't wear perfume and they expect her to wear skirts everyday. Once her contract is up I think she's probably going to back to the States and staying here.
