Tomorrow I am going to get scans done on my teeth, and a filling on both a front tooth, and a wisdom tooth if it is needed, if not one elsewhere.
Out of curiosity, am I the only one who is absolutely terrified of going to the dentist from either pain of it, or the fact they have to use a needle? (yes, I have a fear of needles too. It once took my mother, 2 brothers, and 2 nurses to hold me down for a simple blood test)
Also any tips on what to do to keep calm? I have some Valium tablets to take before I go so I will be a bit out of it, then the numbing gel should help as well, but I know from the past that it will still hurt a bit.

My baby teeth were rock solid and didn't want to come out. In the end, I had to get seven of them taken out by the dentist (it was like an 'occupy' movement).
The best thing you can do, and it may seem silly, is to not panic. You'll be in the hands of an expert who knows what they're doing. Then only problems that can arise are the ones you may create if you panic. No panic = no problems, that's what got me through my many visits :)

For a good chunk of my life I was visiting the dentist so I'm so used to it. They're walks in the park now.
Since I'm so tiny I had to have four perfectly healthy teeth removed from my mouth because of crowding; there was just no room for them! Then I need to wear a retainer before moving on to braces and wearing headgear at night for awhile. Jesus did that stuff hurt. Now all I'm left with is a permanent wire on my bottom teeth.
I only had one wisdom tooth thankfully. I didn't need to be put under at all; they just numbed me up and went for it. It just got bad when I felt/heard him scraping against the bone to get it out and then the waterfall of blood that poured out. I bled for the whole rest of the day and now I can't eat Jello ever again since I always associate it with that.
Now I just go in for a routine visit and get to hear how awesome I am at taking care of my teeth.

Just remember, they are trained professionals and they work with an area which is non-essential to your life processes.

You could also focus on the fact that everything'll be much better after you've had your teeth fixed :)

I'm back, had a full mouth scan and a filling on a front tooth, and replaced a filling on the tooth next to it (it wasn't properly done)
I am glad I live in Australia, otherwise I would be panicking about that aids thing. In the end, it cost like $450 in total, $200 per filling, and $50 for the scan, and I find out about the wisdom tooth in a few days, but hopefully it is alright.
EDIT: Oh, and about half my front tooth was drilled away for the filling to fit :c

It really depends on the game actually. These days they seem to be around the same price, some with Australia releasing them before America.

I hate when people say stuff like "Wish me luck!" or "Have a nice day!" just because it implies that without them saying that, you'd assume they meant the opposite.
