We need to talk about EA
#31
Until then, we got until tomorrow before we know the rest of the story. Looks like the downfall of EA is slowly happening as we speak. As Hawaii is already on EA for 'predatory practices'

Edit: Now we have the rest of the story here

I feel like I need to say this or some variation of it every few weeks sometimes, but that video you posted is the same one I had already edited into my post at least an hour before you posted. I know we're all keen to get in on this story and get every detail out of it that we can, but please check links to make sure you aren't posting something that's already been posted. That said, I do appreciate the post about Hawaii. I don't use Gameinformer that often, so I might not have seen that link for a while without you posting it.

I've said this before.
So long as it doesn't constitute spam, or was posted with malicious intent, it's perfectly fine.
You don't have to mention it every single time.

Keep in mind that Need for Speed has all this BS too. I was going to get it until I saw the speed card rubbish. Nah.

The UK has ruled that Loot Boxes are in fact, not gambling: https://www.dualshockers.com/loot-boxes-...-gambling/

Personally I think the logic behind why they say that is faulty at best, and is proof that they need to update their terms on certain things to fit modern standards. But as it is, that is not going to happen just yet. It's sad, but anything they say after that declaration is kind of moot.

Apparently EA thinks we'd be more mad about a Pink Darth Vader than microtransactions tied to progression in Star Wars Battlefront II. Yeah I don't get it either: https://www.dualshockers.com/star-wars-b...xes-canon/

This is EA in a nutshell. Just replace children with gamers.

This video is worth looking at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZQrd3MybP8

EA shut down Visceral games not because the game they were working on was single player, but because it was linear. https://www.dualshockers.com/visceral-ga...ear-games/

Like um, the fuck? Linear games are single player games, that's just kind of how it works, and they can't convince me they didn't see profit in it, because look at Naughty Dog, all of their games are linear, and they really could have added a tacked on multiplayer if it made them feel better, but they had Amy Hennig working with them, so they could have had a Uncharted or a Last of Us in the Star Wars Universe and been just fine. I swear Jorgensen is the worst at his job, and there's nothing waiting for this idiot once EA lets him go for making them look worse. What an idiot.

EA keeps proven themselves that they're freaking stupid.
