To stay on topic, the closest thing to a perfect game IMO would be Grand Theft Auto IV.

The visuals were great by the time of release and still hold up a little to this day. The characters are fleshed that you learn a lot about them; whether you learn to love them (see my signature) or hate them. The city is extremely detailed, from the strip clubs and gun shops to the hallways fille with junkies. The EFLC know as "The Lost and Danmed" & "The Ballad of Gay Tony" help to show Liberty City from different, interesting angles. Wheter it is the glum, washed out setting of TLAD or the bright and light-hearted (for the most part) streets of BoGT.

It's been two days since I played Xenoblade 2.
The headaches are starting to increase.
Nerve twitching around the eyes.
The intern was rushed to the hospital after I knocked him out after asking a stupid question.
The game music can only hold the high for so long.
Constant heat flashes and sweat.
ONLY 3 MORE BLADES. NEW GAME PLUS SOON.
MORE SIDE QUESTS.

Guys.. I might be addicted.
(no interns were harmed in the making of this post)

Cuphead isn't bad but a perfect game it is not. If it had been a real platformer instead of just a boss rush game, which isn't all of it, but most of it, it would have been a lot better. However, the fact that were hardly any levels to teach you how to play the game, and instead it just became a game about memorizing bosses moves, is annoying. Great potential was there, but tons of it got wasted.

I feel like the original Paper Mario might be up there. Only real problem I have with it is that most of your party members become useless in the last half, to the point where it's jarring when Kooper pops out for story reasons and you're like "Oh yeah, you exist."
