This is the reason I came to this thread.
I'm reeeeeaaally interested in this game but I've been undecided for a while. Had no idea the game was only $35 though. I've never played Animal Crossing before but I've heard nothing but good about it.
Well, Then you should either get this one or Wild World. The console ones were okay, but as a wise, yet Brutal Moose once said, I think it's best on a handheld.
I like the people that get the reference :3

Within one week, I already have the second floor to my house!
Time to go rank up some more cash to build the Resetti center.

The Island. Just catch beetles at night and you'll become rich within seconds.
Normally, I'd complain about this as it seems it would take all the difficulty away, but considering how much you can build, expand, and spend on different structures and your town, it well worth balances out.

HOLY CRAP YOU ARE CORRECT
Also, I like how before I was scavenging for Fossils and making like 20k beolls a day, and now I can just sell beetles for 60-100k per inventory. Also, do you ever get to expand your inventory or storage box at all?

...I knew I should've stayed away from this thread. Each and every one of you are in trouble if I cave and buy this.
Ugh... Looking at the villagers list, I see some snotty bitches I wanted to boot out of my town in previous games. On the other hand, I see Gaston the rabbit. I adored that grump.

Talk shit about Tangy and then get fucked up.
All the hamsters are pretty cool, too bad I don't have one. I do have two squirrels, who are pretty cool. At the same time, I have Coco Loco, who's the bunny mixed with a gyroid villager.

First day as Mayor(I only start my game at night so everything was closed and I didn't have much to do).
Bug-off event. Get stung, find a toad hat...paid off my debt.

I have a Fii hat and a Red pikmin hat, but all of those are irrelevant because I now have a beret, a vest, and some fancy looking pants so I can act like a pretentious hipster to all my peasants.
Also, inform me if I have not added you because I tried to add some people before I left for work.

I like walking around with my Wario Stache and Frog Helmet and creeping people out.
Also, it took me a while to get any good Nintendo items. The first cookie was Link's Pants, the second one was a loser and It gave me a Popcorn Machine, and then I got a Virtual Boy.
A motherf*cking virtual boy.
Also, I haven't added any of you yet, doing so right now.

Anyone doing the bug-off today? Bees are pretty high-scoring, so go shake some trees! I did get stung a couple of times though...

Guess what Hex is gonna buy when her credit card starts a new payment cycle?
This just looks way too fun.

I don't know why I'm laughing so much because I called my town Detriot.

Everybody I know is talking about this game, it's making me itch to buy it.
But I loved the GC version to death, and felt bad when I left it behind, bought City Folk but it didn't click the same way.
I'm afraid to buy a new game and then leave a town to grow overrun with weeds.
Somewhere out there my Gamecube is tracking the calender and telling Bob exactly how many days I've been away =/
