Has anyone read Stephen King's Revival? I saw it in a store and haven't read it yet, I was wondering if it was as good as the text on the cover made it seem.

OK... So it's a popup book, but I'm crazy excited.

Over a year ago there was a Babadook popup book campaign. If they got enough people willing to give their money upfront, they would be made, otherwise the project would be scrapped. They got more than enough people interested; so much so there's a massive waiting list for people who didn't know about it in time.

As of now, only a limited number of copies will be made. I was lucky enough to make it into the first time orders were opened so mine will be signed. There's been a number of setbacks because they wanted the book to be perfect, but I know it will all be worth it.

It was pretty quiet, that's why they agreed to even open it up for pre-orders a second time but without signatures. I was talking about the movie online and by chance someone who knew of the campaign alerted me. 

I looked at their Facebook and I'm very sorry to tell you that the responses about selling more have only wavered from "no" to "We'll take it into consideration".

I'm glad they're taking their time and refused to accept nothing but perfection. Damn thing cost $80.

Finished The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon a little while ago, really underrated Stephen King novel imo. The premise is just a girl getting lost in the Appalachian woods, but the book is so extraordinarily well written that you really connect with the character and can almost feel the scenery around you. Not to mention that the typical Stephen King Horror is done really subtly and woven into the story really well, as the main character begins hallucinating and the reader is left to interpret things on their own without the help of a level headed protagonist. I'm not saying that King's the first author to do that or anything, just that he does it incredibly well.

Plus, the ending is great, unlike a lot of King's stories (by his own admission.) I still like Desperation's better, but this is definitely up there. It's only a few hundred pages, so give it a read if you're looking for an truly uneasy story.

Has anyone read the A song of Fire and Ice series? You know, the one in which the "Game of Thrones" TV series is based on. My cousin has all the five books and he says that I can take them and read them if I wanted to. What should i do? It is worth the "risk"(For the lack of a better word)?
