Mega Man Discussion
#1
Here we discuss the Mega Man Series.

Personally,I prefer the 8-bit platformers
My personal favorite is Mega Man 2.

I'm in love with the music, the level design (except Quick Man's stage. Fuck Quick Man's stage. Fuck Quick Man in general), the bosses (except Quick Man and the Mecha Dragon), the enemies (except those tall can things and the Sniper Joe's (even more if they're in their mechs)), the names (Flash Man. Hilarious), everything.

It's not just the nostalgia, either. Not only did I never play it as a child, it is a good game anyways. Possibly one of the best, IMO.
I consider it the best Mega Man game.

Also, I'm playing it on difficult. Nothing gave me problems (not even Air
Man) except Quick Man, which I eventually (25 game overs later) beat. But the Mecha Dragon... not so much.

Are people going to hate me because 8 is my favorite? I never hear people talk about 8, and when I do it's because people really don't like it. But they can go screw because I love it. AND DAT TENGU MAN'S THEME

Eh.
I have no hate for 8 (I RHYMED)

I have a real fondness for Megaman & Bass, though.

Also, the Mega Man Zero series are ... despite being difficult as shit, nearly perfect.

The only trouble I have is the transition between 3 & 4, and 2 feeling like an obvious "midquel" like eh...

Let's say Pirates of the Caribean: Dead Man's chest?

I loved 1 and 2. 3 was great as well, but I never beat it so I don't know how awesome it could have been. 2 was probably the greatest platforming game of all time though. I liked X but only ever played the first one. not sure why on that... I loved the game but I don't know. I also never beat it for some reason.

But I really, really liked the Battle Net games. Sure the story was lame and graphics were bad but it had just about the most unique RPG battle system I've ever seen. Loved it loved it loved it, couldn't get enough of it!

Megaman 1-6 are getting an HD release on a whole lot of systems. Ironically, Wii U not included.

Gamecube had a better bundle anyway.

I'll probably buy it on PS4 and maybe even maybe my 3DS depending on how large it is, just show support for Mega Man and get them on making a new game. I really think that's the point of this release, to see how much Mega Man will really sell. To that end, since it's only something like 15 bucks, I'm happy to help.

Also PS2. I would rather want them to release the Anniversary Collection digitally. This all feels like a cash grab.

My first MM game is MM2, the only one I owned. I've also played 6, 8 and MM X. Loved them all. Then there is MM Legends. Innovative and different, but it's not one that I will have to play again in my lifetime.
