I felt that a lot of the meme placements were unnecessary. If it was the translators I could understand, but I doubt GF really added that into the game for the Japanese players.

The first physic trainer on route 10, after being defeated, says in Japanese: きみたちのエネルギーす・さ・ま・じ・い!! (kimitachi no enerugii su-sa-ma-ji-i!!)
= Your energy was terrefic! (Yeah, I was curious, went on Niconico, found a Japanese Let's Play of Pokémon Y, had to find where it was etc. It's a nightmare if you know how Niconico works!) Anyways, yeah, on the "original" version of the game, there is no meme here.

All that means is different culture equals different text though. That's nothing new, but it is interesting to see how things change nonetheless.

Thinking of watching the X and Y anime from the start.
I sort of stopped when they changed the VA's and didn't want to deal with Diamond and Pearl, nor Unova. But X and Y seems cool, and the first two episodes were pretty good. How is the series to anyone who still keeps up to date with it?

Ugh, I keep researching and trying to get a Pokemon that has an ability that makes it so others can't escape. At first I succeeded with Wobbuffet, but I didn't like how doesn't have any offensive moves. Then I tried evolving a Haunter into Gengar, because I thought that would give it Shadow Tag. Nope, that's only Mega Gengar. Now my last hope is the Gothita line of evolution, as their hidden abilities are shadow tag, but I'll also have 2 psychic types on my team.
I'm honestly not sure why I'm doing this, but I feel like I have to.

Diglett and Trapinch have Arena Trap. Otherwise you could just get a pokemon that learns Mean Look.

I thought about Arena Trap, but that doesn't affect flying or ghost type Pokemon. I've also thought about Mean Look, and I might go for that. |
