I don't have it due to the fact that I do not have a 3DS and am trying to save up for the new 3DS. This bugs me due to my brother having it and I don't.

I already have Ruby so I decided not to jump in the ORAS bandwagon. Y and Soul Silver are enough Pokémon for me for a while.

I'm probably not going to get this one. It'd be the first one in a while, but I just didn't feel satisfied with X and Y's endgame and the multiplayer issue is just asinine.

I already have Ruby so I decided not to jump in the ORAS bandwagon. Y and Soul Silver are enough Pokémon for me for a while.

I might get some serious hate for saying this, but I can't stand Heartgold and Soulsilver. Easily those are the worst games in the entire main series.

They aren't better and I have a list of reasons as to why.

1. Several key moves for a pokemon are delayed in place of other moves that had been added to the main series from the original games to the remake. For example, Pidgeotto never learns Wing Attack before it can evolve, but Pidgeot does, at level 37. The idea that new moves need to be in front of ones that certain pokemon need, as opposed to ones that are added that don't is stupid, and slows the game down for no reason.

2. Phone Numbers are back. In the original games, I can see those being in, it was all they could come up with to allow you a chance to re-battle trainers, but it allowing you to have all of the available numbers instead of just ten didn't do anything to make the system better. It was only more of a letdown that you had more numbers and should have had a better chance for a battle, only to get them nearly as rarely as the original games. The idea that FireRed and LeafGreen got the VS. Seeker, and the second gen remakes didn't is ludicrous and nonsensical. 

3. The Kimono girls and the Legendary. One of the greatest things about the first two generations of Pokemon, is that you didn't have to catch anything you didn't want to, until you wanted to do it, if you ever did at all. Enter heartgold and soulsilver, which make you battle the Kimono girls at a higher level (I'm actually okay with that) only to force you to go battle and defeat or capture Ho-Oh in order to progress. The reason for this, the most cinematic cut-scene in the game came from the moment when you got to the top of the tower and Ho-Oh landed gracefully before you. Which is fine accept that scene could have happened whenever you decided to catch the pokemon. Forcing you to do it was just annoying.

4. A stronger Elite Four. Normally this would be a good thing but in this case it's not, because leveling up in the second gen games is tedious, and you have to beat the Elite Four twice to get everything out of the game, which I never did because it just got boring grinding to get strong enough to do it, and I don't normally mind grinding, but here I couldn't stand it anymore. Arguably, the best way to get strong enough beat them a second time, is to battle them when they are weaker, after having gone through Kanto to get a few levels, as many times as needed to take them on again. However, preparing a team to take on pokemon in the 70's when the pokemon you are fighting cap at 50, it a long, boring road. Again, the VS. Seeker would have fixed this, but it isn't there. 

5. Re-battling gym leaders. This also should have been awesome. But again it's just tedious. First you have to either be up on time to get all these guys, or you have to set and re-set the time over and over again for each one of them until you get them, which means doing it 16 times, and that's just annoying. After doing all that, you can only battle them at certain times, which makes them arguably less effective than the Elite Four. This means, you can either do this method, the Elite Four method I mentioned before, or battle wild pokemon for EXP. All of these take forever.

6. The Game Corner. Since you can't reuse TM's in these games, you have to earn them via the game corner, which can be incredibly important for building up a competitive team. However, you can no longer buy coins to get items, which means you have to play voltorb mine sweeper, and that is just annoying yet again. It's a literal downgrade from the originals, for no good reason. 

7. The free battle in Viridian is as good as gone. Remember in the originals, where you could battle that one trainer for EXP and made training just a little less tedious, especially since you could trade with a friend and get even more EXP from their team. Yeah, well, that's gone, because you no longer get EXP from that battle. Instead it's treated like a battle frontier which means not only is it harder, it's not even worth it because there already is a battle frontier and you can't use that for EXP anymore, which is kind of why it was there. This too, in my opinion, is a downgrade of the Original game, for no good reason. 

These 7 things, which I find to be annoying, tedious or just a way to try and make the game seem and even take longer than it should, are in my opinion, more than good enough for my to say, these are the worst games ever in the main series, without question.
