My most memorable video game characters of all time are
1.Mario-Whether you hate him or love him, Mario has been to me the greatest video game character of all time. Mario always makes me smile and laugh and his gameplay is the most simplest any gamer could possibly want.
My times with mario was that I first played a pc mario game. Then I played these games like Donkey kong and Super mario bros. Eventually I became a huge mario fan with all the charming characters including luigi, wario, waluigi, peach, daisy, bowser, toad, toadsworth and many others.
One of my favorite mario games( and mario spin offs) of all time are super mario 64, super mario world, super mario galaxy and 2, Mario vs Donkey kong, Mario and Luigi superstar saga, mario and luigi bowser's inside story, luigi's mansion and paper mario the thousand year door. But that's not to say that the other mario games aren't that memorable infact all mario games I played were great to me ( yes even mario pinball land).
2. Sonic the hedgehog- Now even though I was envious that sonic was better than mario and that I'm more of a mario fan than sonic, I cannot deny the awesomeness of his speedy gameplay. My first sonic game would be sonic 3d blast. It took time to realize that sonic was suppose to be a character that runs fast not to be a puzzle maniac.
Some memorable sonic games are Sonic the hedgehog 3 & knuckles which is a great sonic game I've ever played. Infact its a lot better than the mediocre sonic games(Until sonic colors). Then there's sonic adventure 2 battle which had sonic in a realistic theme. Then there's sonic advance series and finally Sonic CD.
3. Legend of Zelda- Zelda wasn't a series I got into until I played Link to the Past and Phantom Hourglass. Since then I've also been playing Zelda games such as Skyward sword, Sprit tracks and ocarina of time. I love the feel of solving puzzles that are less annoying compared to the Professor Layton games(Due to the hints not always being helpful)
4.Professor Layton: Professor Layton was something I never thought of until my brother got me curious village. Every professor layton game had fantastic cutscenes that are i think hand drawn and the characters are well put especially Inspector Chelmey as well as the unique stories. The most memorable Professor Layton game I've ever played is Unwound future as the story is very touching towards the end of the game and the hints are more helpful in that game only!!! Its sad to see the series end but I can't wait to get the last layton game regardless.
5.Rayman- Rayman and Rayman 2 the great escape are my favorite games of all time. The first one had fantasic animations and graphics as well as simple gameplay and it was challenging throughout the entire game. Rayman 2 is a masterpiece for its faithful story and amazing level design. I also played Rayman 3 and origins but the're not as great as the first 2 due to the fact that its more stupid looking and that Rayman becomes clumsy.
