I generally listen to anything. However at the moment I have been listening to a lot of Celldweller. Saying that though my favourite soundtrack to a game is Scott Pilgrim, the music for that game was so nostalgic it made me feel warm inside.

Favorite band, i'd say Jamiroquai, Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd, Casiopea, The Seatbelts and Patrice Rushen
favorite music in games, it'd have to be something from castlevania (OoE or SOTN probably)

Possibly stupid question: Should we make a separate thread for stuff like musical numbers in films or keep them here? I'd really like to see peoples' favorites for those.
Anyone ever heard of Screaming Lord Sutch? Found out about him from the movie Wristcutters: A Love Story. It's a really different song but I like it a lot.

Yeah, I think this thread is used to talk about anything music related...well everything non-gaming. So if it's from movies or a musical or anything, it's fine.

I love music. I only don't like a few genres (pop and country) but if there is one type of music that I really stick to it's the really energetic stuff such as rock, hard rock, and metal (as long as it doesn't sound like they're just barfing into a mic) I like that kind of music 'cause it gets me really pumped up and I feel like I can beat anything that stands in my way (although I know it's just a feeling). Here's some example of what I like (I'll try to keep it not just the hard stuff.)
Chevelle: Hats Off To The Bull Disturbed: Perfect Insanity Avenged Sevenfold: Fiction (figured I'd throw this one in there so it's not all hard stuff, it's also one of my favorite songs from them.) Mudvayne: Do What You Do Red: Death of Me Linkin Park: With You 10 Years: Wasteland Crossfade: Colors Five Finger Death Punch: Hard to See Atreyu: Honor Figured I'd put up all my favorite soft songs. 10 Years: Proud Of You Atreyu: Lead Sails (And A Paper Anchor) [The last two minutes of this video are complete silence but it's the only one with good quality.] Chevelle: Glimpse of the Con Demon Hunter: Deteriorate Linkin Park: My December Red: Hymn For The Missing Rise Against: Swing Life Away

Time to share all my weird music preferences!
Techno Jazz, Electroswing, Bagpipe Techno, JPop Metal, Horrorcore, Horror Rock, Nightcore, Nintendocore, Dubtrot and something made with a VIC-20. When none of those fit my mood I go for something Mainstream or a bit of Pop Culture.
