The Puppet Man
#1
Did you know that there is an easter egg from Penny Arcade in Fallout 3. The back story starts before the release of the game (four months to be exact), the creators of Penny Arcade, writer Jerry Holkins/Tycho Brahe and illustrator Mike Krahulik/John Gabriel, were hired to make a 12 page web comic for the game. The story stars the lone Vault Dweller of Vault 77 as he tries to get though the Vault Experiment with a crate of puppets. The protagonist goes unnamed but is given the nickname of The Puppet Man by a slaver, due to the Vault Boy puppet that he carries around all the time. The comic can still be found on the Fallout web page, though to make it easier to find, here are all the comics:

Normally, this would be a non-canon comic that Penny Arcade is best known for. However, there is evidence that may show that The Puppet Man is canon. If you go into the Slaver Barracks at Paradise Falls, in the back of the room on a self, there is a Vault 77 Jumpsuit & holotape. The Holotape is from another slaver who wants someone to get rid of the jumpsuit that a stranger with no name left behind. The man recording the holotape is obviously scared and says the jumpsuit "freaks the boys out" so they must fear the "unnamed stranger." The Vault 77 jumpsuit will grant you a +5 to both unarmed and melee weapons, both being what The Puppet Man is known to use. These all hint that The Puppet Man was here at one point in time and left his jumpsuit here for one reason or another.

I'll admit that's pretty funny.
