Judging by the lack of responses, nobody here has watched the show.

Stranger Things. I had seen so many memes and a lot of discussion about it, so I decided to check it out.

Winona Ryder does a great job as a mother on an emotional speed train in season 1.
David Harbour plays a great grieving father and Chief of Police who is trying to figure out the strange events and disappearances in a small town.
Millie Bobby Brown is a badass Eleven.

I started season 2 early this morning.
9/10.

Just gonna post all the junk I watched on TV this past semester.

Started watching Black Mirror and it's really good in general. Episodes range from Fantastic to Ehhhhhhh pretty cheesy, but most of the cheesy ones aren't even that bad they're just disappointing since the show is capable of so much more.

Watched a few episodes of The Clone Wars after hearing a bunch of recommendations and just couldn't get into it.

Watched a bunch of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited after hearing a bunch of recommendations and holy shit I actually sorta like DC characters now, I just never gave 'em a chance since I don't like any of their live action offerings or comics. Who woulda thunk Hawkgirl was actually an interesting character.

Watched Twin Peaks: The Return and it was one of the best shows I think I've ever seen. It's just so bizarre and strange, you truly have no idea what's going to happen next. I mean truly, one week they're having Dale Cooper stumble around as a brain damaged goofball giving pie to gangsters, the next they're traveling back in time to a bar in the 90's, and the next is just a 45 minute long abstract short film about a Nuke going off in the 40's. Just wonderful, wish more shows were like this.

Watched Scorpion which continues to be the dumbest show on television in a so bad it's hilarious kinda way. I already mentioned the dollar store plastic deer jeep C-Section, then next week they had to stop a haunted cruise ship from colliding with an oil rig by blasting hip hop at it. Fucking beautiful.

Watched Lady Dynamite season 2 and it's the most mixed bag of a show I've ever seen. It went from making me nearly pass out from laughing one episode to making me almost vomit from motion sickness, and not in a good way. It's bizarre but not in a Twin Peaks creepy but intriguing kinda way, more in an obnoxiously throwing shit at the screen trying to give you sensory overload one. Had to stop watching it halfway through, which was a shame because there's some great comedy mixed in there somewhere.

Watched SNL every week like I always do and it's still great. That's not popular opinion but they keep bringing on really funny internet comedians as writers and it's working so far, the Digital Shorts they put out are the tops. They have plenty of dud episodes and sketches that bomb, but SNLs always been like that.

Watched Friends From College and it was one of the worst piles of shit I've ever slopped my eyes into. Really just started watching it because my Mom was and it has some really talented actors, but jesus they're all such huge assholes. I guess that's kinda the point, Billy Eichner brings it up, but you can't really have a character based drama with an ensemble cast where literally every character is a giant dick for no reason. There's one character who's sort of a decent dude who you connect with, but then there's this stupid fucking twist in the last episode where it's revealed hey this man is actually the stupidest motherfucker alive, to the point where his stupidity actually destroyed his friend's career in a way no actual stupidity ever could, he is actually a retarded person. And I'm not using that term to disparage the differently abled I'm saying he would literally have to have brain damage or be an actual toddler in order to be that stupid. Hey speaking of stealing rick and morty quotes.

Watched Rick and Morty Season 3. It was good, not great not bad, just a solid season of television. A lot of people hated the finale but that was my favorite episode so iunno, gj guys keep it up.

Oh I also watched Harmonquest season 2 and it was great. Definitely had dips in a few episodes but most of the guests were fantastic this season and it was just so much fun to watch.

Guess I'm just gonna go over all the stuff this year while it's on my mind screw it.

Watched Better Call Saul Season 3 and it was phenomenal. Best spinoff since the one good book of Legend of Korra. Also led me to using the word Chicanery more in my day to day and that's always a plus.

Watched a few episodes of Phineas and Ferb the other week when I was feeling down and it's just a great lil' show, kinda threw me for a loop how many jokes were in there for adults since I only caught a few episodes when I was in my teens.

Watched the new season of South Park and it was good, same boat as Rick and Morty just two good-not-great seasons. It was much better than the previous one if that matters at all.

Rewatched the original Teen Titans and it still holds up.

Watched Death Note, the Anime not the netflix garbage fire. It was solid, a little over the top for me and I feel like it took itself way too seriously at times, but it was still a rush watching L and Light go at it. Definitely falls off after that one thing happens but still very solid potato chip stuff.

Watched a few episodes of Gumball and it's really entertaining. Not sure if it's something I could ever stomach more than a few episodes at a time of, but it's well written, funny and it looks just beautiful.

Watched a few episodes of Steven Universe and couldn't really get into it, but the music on that show is fantastic for just trying to calm down and relax, so I'll give it props for that.

Watched a few episodes of Adventure Time and it was cool. Not sure how actually objectively "good" it was but I feel like "cool" is a good descriptor, love the fantasy mixed with scifi mixed with all sorts of weird shit aspect. Music is also fantastic, I see what all these kids are talking about with this Rebecca Sugar.

Started watching Bob's Burgers and it was pretty great in general. I fucking hate Louise to the point where it almost ruins the show, but everything else is just hunky dorey.

Started watching Game of Thrones and ehhhhhh, the show's just not really for me. There are some really compelling stories buried in there underneath a bunch of stuff you just do not give a shit about, it's like a videogame that keeps throwing crappy Quicktime events at you.

Welp, that's about it.

I should get out more huh

As someone who watched the original first two movies (i have yet to watch the other two) this is...umm, who asked for a reboot of this anyway? The original movies were good as how they are, there's no need for a reboot/remake/sequel in my opinion. Meh, who i'm kidding, i'm still gonna watch the first three episodes in order to satisfy my morbid curiosity.

A year and 4 months later and I never bothered to watch a single episode....

Yeah, I'll stick with the movies (needless to say, I've watched III and IV shortly after making that post).

Mini-rant: Jeopardy has way too many questions on European Royal History.

I get it, there's a lot of it, but I swear there's one or two questions every episode and it gets an entire column at least once a week. It's the most common Final Jeopardy category, it's nuts. Stop it. There are other continents with histories yo.

For a good while everyone was ranting about Hollywood running out of original ideas; Knight Rider and Hawaii Five-O were all turned into recent series. I never checked into either but i think Hawaii Five-O is still going on whereas Knight Rider was a continuation with a new generation and I'm not sure if it was made for a limited series or was cancelled.

Meh.

Even if the series is as good or even better than the orginal, I still don't care whatsoever about the TV remake. Is the same thing with many supposed great series such as One Piece, Gintama, Game of Thrones, Once Upon A Time, pretty much all of the Arrowverse, etc. I just don't care.

But while we are still at it, have you watched the Lethal Weapon movies?

EDIT: the rest of this conversation has been moved to the movies thread in order to avoid thread derailment.

Q: "If you really don't care then why did you make not one, but two posts taking about it?"

A: the first was because I had nothing else to talk about. I put Lethal Weapon in the search bar and once I looked at my original post about the TV remake I was like" eh, might as well adress that pending point".

The second was in response to Kakariko. Not so hard to figure out.
