Capcom uploaded the complete NYCC panel of Devil May Cry 5 to the internet. Some really interesting info was revealed during that panel.

Absolver: Downfall is now available. It's a free expansion for the game Absolver.

From the video description:
DevolverDigital Wrote:Absolver: Downfall is a new, free expansion for the online melee brawler that brings a new game mode, new combat style, new school challenges, and a fistful of new gear for Prospects and Absolvers.

This is the kind of week that makes me hate being a journalist trying to go pro sometimes. If it weren't for the fact that Level 5 might be reinstating a cancelled game on October 25th, which you can see here: https://gematsu.com/2018/10/level-5-20th...le-revival

Or the fact that we will finally be getting an update for MediEvil Remastered in the next week or two which you can see here: https://gematsu.com/2018/10/medievil-rem...eek-or-two

I swear I would lose my damn mind. Wargroove and Concrete Genie were likely going to be two of my favorite games for this year, and now they are both off the table, and Yo Kai games are what I play to relax in my spare time, so who knows when I'll get to do that on the Switch now.

A new animated adaptation of Devil May Cry is on the works, and is being made by the same dude behind the Castlevania Netflix series!

EDIT: a lot of people seem to be confused about this whole "bootleg multiverse" deal, so I'll explain. The terminologies "shared universe" and "multiverse" mean two completely different things. When Adi Shankar talks about a bootleg multiverse he talks about his media repertoire, mostly composed of unofficial/fan films (hence the term "bootleg"), including Truth in Journalism and Dirty Laundry, based of Marvel characters Venom and The Punisher respectively.

Mister Shankar has been using the term "bootleg multiverse" in reference to his own repertoire since FOREVER! It does not mean that the two shows (DMC and Castlevania) are directly connected.

Adi Shankar would be the type of person to make his work feel bigger than it actually is. Not a fan of his fanmade crap but I am eternally grateful for Netflix Castlevania(even though the real genius behind it is Warren Ellis...)
