Eeh, this too shall pass. For a while the first Wii sold very slowly. The gaming masses weren't sure they wanted this little box that just did.. What? What does it even do? But as more new and original games came out people started buying it. The same will happen with the Wii U. This isn't a device for early adopters. It's a device for people who sometimes play Wii Bowling.

What? No seriously what?

Same sentiment. When the Wii came out, it sold incredibly well to the point where many stores ran out on launch day. For almost a whole year it became incredibly hard for people to find a Wii due to the sales, to the point where some just bought Wii's so that they could sell them online for a higher price.

On launch day they sold out in some places, yeah, but I seem to remember hearing that in its first quarter Nintendo was disappointed with its sales. Not that it was super bad, just that it was slower than they expected. Maybe I'm wrong but that's how I remember it going.

I don't remember that. Perhaps you're thinking of the WiiU or 3DS.

Capcom is pulling all IPs back from Western developers to be developed in house due to poor sales of their latest releases. http://www.relyonhorror.com/latest-news/...ly-canned/

I do wonder what's gonna happen to the already rebooted DMC.

So, because these games sold only 1-4 million copies, it means the games failed? What the fuck, Capcom? What the actual fuck?

Ha I love how everyone claims Nintendo is doomed... all the time. I remember when they said that during the Gamecube era. I remember when they said that near the end of the Wii's life.

Nintendo's revenue is 647.6 billion yen. They own the rights to Mario and Pokemon which they make billions off of merchandise alone.

Once Smash 4 is announced for the Wii U the sales are going to skyrocket. Not to mention Pokemon x & Y which will make them so much money and increase the sales of 3DS.

A set of Level-5 games are on sale on the 3DS eShop from now to 30th May! This includes the Suda51 game Liberation Maiden, which I just downloaded for 5€ and I'm loving it thus far. I'm the best president ever!

That still doesn't mean it covered the costs to actually make the games.

More news on games being on sale. There's a sale going on on all Resident Evil titles on PSN. If you've ever wanted to get into the series, now's the time.

I still think it would have been smarter of them to release Black&White II on the 3DS when it came out. Well, at least more people had a chance to play the game since more people owned DS's.

Which is why it shouldn't have been on the 3DS.

Ooh, more VG movies. I'm not really interested in the Ratchet & Clank one but Heavenly Sword oughta be cool.

Honestly, I hope these movies get bogged down with set back after set back, and never see the light of day. I hate seeing a movie ruin the story of a good game. I mean, when has a movie based on a video game ever payed full respect to its source material or kept the story from the game intact? Never. It either ends up too far away from the source material as to be unrecognizable (RE movies, Super Mario movie), or it stays close to the source material but doesn't treat the game's story with the proper respect (Advent Children, Bloodrayne).

But no one is forcing you to watch them. The first Tekken movie (1997) was awesome, Resident Evil 4D-Executer/Degeneration/Damnation have been great, The Street Fighter animated movies are just pure greatness, the Silent Hill live action movie was actually really fun, the Halo and Dead Space movies have been okay and have I mentioned how much I love the original Mortal Kombat movies?

I could hate on the live action Resident Evil movies all I want but hey, I'll always have the games.

So, Nintendo isn't going to have a press conference at E3 this year. BUT, they will still be there at E3. They're just ignoring the media, really.
