The social buttons aren't even supposed to be there. What browser and OS are you using?

That's due to the facebook button not loading on your browser for some reason... It's stretching the size of the social buttons. That's... Odd.

Oh, wow... Totally missed that when I was looking at this on my phone. I believe it's because we don't have explicit sizes set on the images so when one doesn't load, the browser doesn't know how much space to set aside.

The cause of this issue is Adblock. Not sure why it's breaking the Facebook button but I can all but guarantee that disabling Adblock will fix this (among other visual issues caused by hiding the ads).

Additionally, it stops us eating shit out of bins while we pay for our server :(

Indeed. At this stage, I'm marking this "working as intended." The site is kind enough to fight back when it detects Adblock. :P

Seriously though, I promise our ads are not obnoxious so you should all totally whitelist us. Servers are expensive and the ads we run on the site really help offset that cost.

I just turned adblock (Chrome) on to test this and everything seems to work for me. Do you have one of those "block facebook" addons?

I suppose it's possible something else is breaking the Facebook button but he is also definitely running AdBlock.

Which is just terrible if you're not donating. The ads here aren't even that bad, but I think a lot of people forget to turn it off for sites they like. (I did for a long time)

I disagree with the use of AdBlock as blacklisting every site by default. It should block none until otherwise stated. There are some sites that abuse ads, so I agree against those, but by default, if you remove ads, you remove the likelihood of a website continuing the operate.
