My first thought when I heard that was "How big is this nightclub, anyway?"
Kinda terrible I guess but seriously.

My first thought was...
"Guy with an Arab-y name shoots up a Gay Night Club."

...

"The Republicans won't know who to side with."

"Psychologist Jonathan Scholtz said Pistorius was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder."
And the woman he shot four times is suffering from still being dead. You have to deal with the consequences of your shitty actions, mate.

They'll try anything to try to make the news...

I admit, the Orlando news didn't hurt that much.
But then, I sat down and tried to imagine the faces of 49 people who were doing nothing wrong. I tried to imagine families, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers crying over a hole in their lives never to replaced.
Then I thought of friends. I was at a speedrunning marathon when it happened, and three of my speed friends who were there went out to a restaurant that was in the LGBT district during the event. My friends could have just as easily been in that.
When I look beyond the stats, I just see a cruel, cruel world and I know that changes have to come.

Some teenager named Jarret Wade shared a picture, on Facebook, of the Orlando shooter and stated "we'll finish what you started". It also looks like that page was deleted. What the hell?

One of the saddest things I read about the shooting was that when the Police and Investigators were searching around the aftermath, they had to drown out the noises of phones ringing and vibrating around the rooms.

It's hard to think how awful that truly is.

Having lived most of my life in the UK, I really hope you folks vote to remain.

Dunno if you watch the channel 4 debate with Paxman, if you can get that in Canada, but that was funny.

So... It looks like the UK has voted to leave the European Union.
Guess I'll go out tomorrow and buy my GBP and EUR for the summer at bargain prices. Slight consolation.

Honestly, I don't mind either way. We'll find a way out of it regardless of what the answer would've been. It'll be a rough few years but it's not like we're going to become bankrupt anytime soon.
