It's interesting how for the longest time the rivalry between Greece and Turkey was something only history buffs and people from the Balkans were aware of. Nowadays more people outside of the Balkans than ever know. Mostly because of the memes.
Throwback Thursday!

Remenber the infamous "Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life" copypasta?
Throwback Thursday!

Remenber thath infamous Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA)? And then the proposed PROTECT IP Act (PIPA)?
The following subreddits have been banned: r/2balkan4you, 2easterneuropean4you, and 2mediterranian4you.

EDIT: they also banned r/TheLaundromat. It was the 4th Caucasian/Caucasoid sub.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Today is 2/22/22. Or 22/2/22, depends on which calendar you use.
That's fun! Some people call it twosday! Get it? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
So I found out that months ago people in the U.S were debating wheter math was racist or not. Yes, math. Because people of color struggle with it.

I'm still in disbelief that such a debate is even a thing. Holy shit. Americans really see everything as a race issue.

Also, isn't saying that math is racist... racist? Because saying stuff like that implies only people of color are bad at math. The truth is that ANYONE, regardless of race, can be bad at math.

EDIT: so it turns out this has been a thing since five years ago or so. However the debate recently came back. My point still stands, tho. "Math is racist" is one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard.
Discord is down right now
I just realised its been 8 years since Nelson Mandela's death. The 9th anniversary is gonna be on December 5.
You know, some of what we consider "zoomer slang" or "zoomer speak" isn't new.

For instance.. phrases like "no cap", "finna", "bussing" (not to be confused with bussy).... That's literally how people talk in the hood. People from the hood have been speaking like that for decades now.

Other phrases and words have different origins.
"waifu" is one of the most overused and missused words out there.
Imagine being so self-abosrbed that when a man approaches you your first instinct is to say "I have a boyfriend!"

Like, girlie. Not every man out there wants to get in your pants, LMAO.
These two subreddits have been banned.

r/russophobic: a subreddit made to call out discrimination against Russians... While hipocritically being criminatory themselves (for example, two days ago the top post over there compared ISIS to Ukraine)

r/2russophobic4you: originally a parody of r/russophobic, the sub eventually went downhill and people started hating Russians unironically (not just the Russian government). It awas already going downhill before the war in Ukraine, mind you.
Remenber when wojak was known as the "I Know That Feel Bro" guy?
