This is confusing me for some reason. So, Young Bayo gives a lollipop to Young/Toon Link, they become friends, and then Bayonetta and Link who seems like he wants to stop them becoming friends stand in the distance as Bayonetta talks about how they've both found new friends.

Oh wait, is this meant to be the Smash universe or something?

If you read it in the voices of the characters in Disney's Alice in Wonderland, it makes it funnier. But yeah, the critics are tearing this game apart for a very good reason.
