If you haven't noticed on the official AA Youtube channel the characters have been counting down the days until the game's release.

Some Of You Guys Are Alright. Don't go to Fey & Co. Law Offices tomorrow.
Spirit of Justice has just come out.

Check it out on the eshop.
And be sure to post your thoughts on it! I've stayed in the dark and not watched a single trailer, but I'm a tiny bit hopeful since retro said that at least the demo was hard.

Oh! Oh! And tell me if you think I'll like the new detective!

...I'll probably download it myself when I get home anyway. LOL.

Also, I wanted to ask! When purchasing Dual Destinies I saw that they have the original three games up to buy as well. Are they just as they were when released for the DS, or did they enhance the graphics/add anything? I'll totally buy them again as an excuse to replay if even the smallest thing was improved.
I'll give a bigger post soon, but I do want to say this.

The first case took me 3 hours.

I even sped up the text half way through, and it still took a long time.

Also, check the Extras and DLC menu when you get the game, the costumes seem to be free.
^ That's what I want to hear! Totally, absolutely, downloading when I get home.

Oooooh, I always like free costumes!
Trucy just asked me to get something "big and black" from her purse in the second case.

Phoenix has been gone for several days, jheeze girl.

Spoiler:Don't worry, it's a notebook and I wanted to make a cheap joke.

Also there was a subtle Seinfeld reference to why Apollo doesn't wear his red jacket that's always on the sofa in the Wright Anything Agency.

EDIT: Oh dear. As Athena searched the bag she said these exact words.

"Oh, wow! She has--?! Oh, Trucy! You are BAD!"

Also gameplay wise. Investigations seem worse than they did back in DD. Whole sections of the screen are clumped together into the same "search" I should say.

So a table, and anything near the table will give the same line when checked. Like they're all grouped together into one specific line, and it's done tons. So two separate things next to each other, could all be the same thing according to the game.
^ Well "bleh" to that, but still, I think I'll get it.

Would be in the process of doing so but it won't take my credit card. This is why I HATE Visa. They think everything is suspicious so I'll have to call and get it OKed.

LOL. OK, so apparently a block was put on my card because F4F decided to bill me for the Arwing statue. I flipped my shit that so much money had been taken until they told me where the money went; really stupid I was never sent an email telling me they'd be taking payment, just that it was on time for release.

So yeah... Gonna take a shower while the game downloads.
So, Phoenix had the Steel Samurai as his ringtone.

Guess what Apollo has?

Also Case 2 is much better than Case 1. It has a Case 1-2 vibe of being alone and loads of stuff happening all at once that feels awful. It's really good.

But Holy hell. Case 6-3. If Ace Attorney wants to keep going with their "Even Numbered, Third Case. Main Game" syndrome. 6-3 might be the death of Maya Fey as we know it.
Oh boy, here it is. The Rite of Turnabout. Case 6-3.

Case 6-2 was pretty good. It broke the usual set up of 2nd cases, instead of being Investigation -> Trial -> Investigation -> Trial. It just went Investigation -> Trial in one go.

Also on my favourite lines in any Phoenix Wright game happened in that case.

Made me laugh for a while.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I don't think I'll make much progress each day until I can take vacation; work makes me so tired I only just finished the first case. I don't think it was quite 3 hours for me, but it certainly was the longest opening case to date.

Nice to see more humor in the courtroom again! Besides the falcon not much was really that funny in Dual Destinies, but Simon wasn't the sort to have scenarios like that the way other prosecutors were.

Took me a second to get the name puns though! Had to read the names out loud.

Oh, and it wasn't until the last game I finally got the name pun for Winston Payne thanks to his brother Gaspen Payne. WINCE IN PAIN AND GASP IN PAIN. Duh!

But yeah... Yucky at Trucy opening up the second case, but we'll see where this goes. I WANT TO SEE MAYA AGAIN.
You'll see her in the third case.

Don't sweat it.

Just worry if the third case will be awful.

Although, right now. It's alright.

Still unsure if male or female, but we'll know soon enough. I hope the image shows or this bump will just seem stupid.

Apparently, s/he will shout "Satora" instead of Objection, which roughly translates to "Understand". I wonder if it'll be used in the same manner as an Objection, or rather at the end of someone else's argument/their argument?

Not much info there, but I thought I'd bump with some info.

Interestingly enough, they made sure that he says "Satora" in the translated game. So he'll say Satora instead of Hold It, and Objection is Objection.
I... I just wanted to see if eBay had that Bobby Fulbright keychain I want so bad... I could have lived my entire life without seeing this. NSFW.

After all the stuff I've seen sometimes doujin covers still manage to get a "WTF?" out of me xD
^

I've seen a lot worse Phoenix Wright related doujins, I can tell you that. I get it guys, Phoenix dedicated his life to work out what happened to Miles. He's not gay.

Anyhow. I finished up Case 3 and, just now. Case 4.

Case 3 was a decent case. 2 Investigations, 2 trials. Had a decent twist and some fun characters. A side of me is sad it's not god awful because now it can't live up to the curse of the even numbered third cases that we've seen so far.

Case 4 on the other hand annoyed me. It was only a 1 trial case. I mean, this was okay in Trials and Tribulations where this was due to limitations with the cartridge, this shouldn't be acceptable for this type of game. Plus, it was an Athena case, meaning she barely got any screen time as opposed to the last game where she at least got a full case, instead of just one trial.

Plus, the case was the most Japanese case the game has ever had. I actually had to remember the difference between Soba and Udon noodles to prove who the killer was, and don't get me started on the things you had to prove in regards to noodles, saké and more.

I'm hoping Case 5 isn't the last case before the DLC pops out. Sure, the DLC will give me a 7 case game, but I'd rather have a 6th case that has the gang back together, or gives Athena/Apollo some more screen time. Phoenix is great, and I like having him as the main characters. But it was handled quite well in DD, so it doesn't make sense why this game feels like there is less to show for it so far.

So far though, the game is better than AJ, JFA and AAI. I can say that much for sure.

(08-31-2016, 10:40 PM)Hexadecimal Wrote: [ -> ]Plus... Do Apollo and Trucy not know they're siblings still and who their mother is? That twist was beyond stupid in Apollo Justice with really no reasoning as to why these two kids have been kept in the dark and it's too cruel of Phoenix to keep it up.

Oh, and was it Edgey's second game we never got where I've seen a shot of him and Phoenix clinging onto each other in fear while they're screaming? I was looking so forward to seeing that but it must not be from Dual Destinies.

Nope, they still don't know they're brother and sister, and Phoenix does still know this information. I'm still waiting for them to get married, behind Phoenix's back while he's away in Kurain and for Phoenix to come back shocked at the whole situation and confused at what to do next.

Honestly, that entire premise feels like a Seinfeld episode.

I'm not sure what the Phoenix/Edgeworth screaming shot is though. Might've been the anime or from Spirit of Justice. Phoenix doesn't appear in any of the AAI games.

Coming back to this, someone told Apollo that Trucy is "a real catch" and "I'm talking bride material" in the same sentence.

Oh God, it's happening isn't it?
