To put it bluntly, people collect stamps, fish, coins, cars and I collect games. I just like having them sealed to then sell on a later price like my Zelda consoles or sealed TP, WW, OoT3D etc. Then give it on to someone else to take care of when I'm dead.

Can I ask you to elaborate on this one? I only ask because I have never noticed anything displeasing from them myself.

I've come across so many of them as being elitist dorks. They take pride in saying "CoD is a shitty generic bland series that reuses the same old crap etc" yet the Zelda series has been doing it for the last 25 years.
Or any level of critcism towards the Zelda series(no matter how well constructed) is instantly wiped off with "Go play CoD on your Xbox".
If it's not that, then they generalise the Xbox 360/PS3 as being inferior consoles with crap games despite the fact I've had some of the best gaming experiences ever on the Xbox (Bioshock, Dead Space, Journey, MAss Effect, the insane amount of hours and matches in Street Fighter 4, The Witcher 2, Ni No Kuni etc)
Lastly was when I was saying how I thought Fi was one of the most annoying characters ever, people will blindly defend her or be insulted it by what I say because they can't admit the Zelda series has flaws/bad game choices.

I love Ocarina of Time but if I want to be completely level head, fair, balanced and unbiased about the game, I could pick out problems with it. Not as easily as Skyward Sword but I know of it's few problems. Some (some) of them just come off as smug elitists.

You found the bad side of the fan base, because most people that are part of the Legend of Zelda fan base will usually talk about flaws and mistakes in any LoZ game and most will say whether a game is bad or whether a certain character is annoying as shit or not.

I think Shadow of the Colossus blows.

I think Super Smash Bros. blows.

Got halfway through Wind Waker and got bored and never finished it.

Never had any interest in Pokemon what so ever.

Didn't really get into RPG's until about 2 years ago. The only ones I played and finished prior to that were Dragon Warrior and Swords and Serpents.

I put peanut butter and maple syrup on my waffles. It' amazing.

Despite how stupid I know its story is, I kinda like the God of War series.

Link to the Past trumps all other Zelda games, especially the oh so loved Ocarina.

I actually think Final Fantasy 12 has the best battle mechanics of the whole series.

I dislike the Assassin's Creed games, mainly because of the story, and partly because of the boring gameplay.

Yoshi's Island is the best Mario platformer, and Partners in Time is the best Mario RPG.

I've only beaten one Legend of Zelda game.
Bethesda can go suck it.
Assassin's Creed may also suck it.
Black Ops 2 is a fun game.
I like the Wiimote.

I hate water levels in ANY game because of a sewer level in Star Wars Dark Forces that scared teh crap out of me.

I never enjoyed sport video games or racing games.

While I do not like to RP in games, I typically make ONLY generic characters like an elf mage or something like that.

As I said before, it's only some, but they're just as bad any other crazy fandom-base I've ever come across. This goes for everything, but(some of) the Zelda fanbase can seriously pride themselves.

More:
Even though I really started to hate Capcom, I've still given them the most money and play the majority of their games.

I miss the old days of local multiplayer :(

Same with Xannidel, I don't sport/racers but the only exceptions are he fun version such as Mario Smash Football, Burnout, Mario Kart. I hate Forza/Gran Turismo(but don't consider it to be a bad series in anyway)...just boring as hell

I enjoy extremely difficult/high execution games

I'd rather be playing games that "socialising"(as in getting drunk and posting it on Facebook) but prefer to be around gamers/same culture type.

I did the first pick pocket mission in Assassins Creed 1 and never went back to the series. Really no into that series(but like Forza, I think it's a solid game).

There are days, albeit rare, where I feel like playing Call of Duty. For fun.

I hate playing drunk and when I see other people do it I wanna punch them.

I hate sports games. Well, except for arcade racers and Baseball Stars 2. Which brings me to...

Baseball Stars 2 is the best sports game ever. Period. Screw you Fifa and NHL.

I dislike online multiplayer. I prefer to play games just by myself or in split-screen.

Water levels are stupid and everyone should know it.

Sometimes I really want to play a game, but I am too lazy, so I just watch a walkthrough of it instead.

I dislike the Crash Bandicoot fanbase. Pretty much 70% or so hate the new Crash games because the characters and genre are different. I admit I don't like them either, but only because the gameplay feels a bit boring and buttonmashy. Iunno. Their opinion I geuss.
