They've made a Contra since Super C? I'm behind.

Seeing as Super C is like the second one to come out and there have been close to 12 (give or take, I lost track around Contra 4 on DS and I was still lost back then) I would say that, yes, you are behind. I think the most recent would be ether Hard Corps: Uprising for PS3 and X-box 360 or Contra ReBirth on Wii. My opinion though is to not give her the game unless she can deal with it being hard as balls.

There's a remake of Contra: Hard Corps named Hard Corps: Uprising and it's made by Arc System Works and looks and feels amazing. It's ridiculously hard, though. There's also Contra 4 for the DS made by Wayforward and it's equally amazing.

No. No, she cannot. Every two minutes, "daddy, I need your help". I started following my wife's footsteps and had to start telling her that if she cannot just play it and have fun without my help, to change games or the system.

Simpsons Road Rage and Simpsons Hit and Run are pretty fucking good dude.
They might be a bit old, but they're good games if she likes open world adventure and stuff. Still, make sure she plays good vidya, no angry birds shit. You're doing God's work.

I second the Scribblenauts idea. It's great fun and excellent for the imagination. If your kid gets stuck, instead of taking the controller or just telling them what to do, you can guide them towards the answer so that they discover it themselves.
Scribblenauts Unlimited for the PC is my recommendation :)

I don't have PC. I may go for one of the Simpson's games. That's on the 360, right? She seems to like it best.

I forget if someone's mentioned this, but you could use some of the cart games, like Mario Kart.

My daughter has Mario Cart Double Dash on the GameCube at her mother's house. She can play it on her Wii; I made the mistake of buying a Wii without GameCube capabilities. May get Mario Cart Wii at some point.

Do you still have a Ps2, Xbox or Gamecube lying around? If so, get Simpsons Hit & Run for her. It's like GTA, but more simpsonsy.

Gamemasta', so did I. It was a Christmas bundle (black Wii with Super Mario Bros Wii, I didn't know it wouldn't or I would have checked). Oh well. DBD, she has my Xbox. Sounds like Simpson's Hit and Run is something I'll be looking for.

I just remembered! You could get the Ty games. Their kinda open world and the second one has some driving around in it, and the are all for Xbox one original.
