I know I'm late to the party but my sister got me A Link Between Worlds........ and the story pisses me off so far. Tis a good game but I'm so confused about how it's a sequel. I'm thinking it's a new Zelda and Link within the world of ALTTP. I keep getting the feeling of "Damn You, Muscle Memory" when it comes to the map and the surroundings.

You know, even with all the Zelda's we've had so far, I'm still waiting for an original zelda game that will use the engine from OOT and MM.
It's not impossible and I know it would be a lot of Zelda games already but two remakes and a top down LTTP sequel don't cut it for me (even though they're great games) when we could get something new using that engine, or a varient of it.

Turns out, they were both real.
And sold out real fast :(
I work next door to a Game Stop. Yesterday (the day the pre-order bundles went on sale) I went in before work. Patrick said you put $5 down on pre-orders and pick them up on release day, so I was ready. Well, turns out, this particular pre-order, you had to pay full price! The one with the book (the $80-85 dollar one) was already sold out, and he said the other one ($50, with the figurine) would sell out by the end of the day.
So, I went to work, collected my shitty tips, and as soon as I had enough, I ran over to Game Stop to secure my pre-order. They were sold out :(
I'm genuinely upset. It was announced one day, then the next they went one sale. I didn't have enough time to save the money.

I really wanted that figurine. I guess I'll have to settle with just the regular version unless limited editions come out here again. I'm happy just to be able to play the game on a system I own for once, especially since I didn't get to play it as much as I would have liked when it came out, but I'm a bit bummed as well. I'm really planning on trying to get figures for games for the first time that come with pre-orders, instead of the off-handed ones that you end up having to throw away because they are so cheap. I guess I'll have to settle with the order 1886's 80 dollar one and try to move on from there.
