I'm thinking it'd be cool to split up ships by role classifications.
Heart - Spade - Club - Diamond
Support - Piracy/boarding - War - Bounty or Cargo

That's brilliant ! I keep noticing something new every time I look. I hope my maple-leaf helmet shoots lasers or maple syrup or something :D

The ship is one I was thinking of before I asked if anyone wanted to be pirated. (heh.). It goes by two names depending on its role. Its either the "Acer" for combat, or the "Brattea" for piracy. I figured going a symbolic route would earn me more variety an communicability than trying to work up some pseudo science and letting those more educated than me pick it apart. I'm still working on some variety, but they all have a use in my mind.
I chose the maple leaf because its been widely considered a symbol of strength and endurance since Chaucer went and spelled it funny, telling the world about them. I'm afraid that I made your guy look a little too "feudal". Of course, the maple is a symbol for Hiroshima as well so who knows?
ORDER UP! WHO WANTS A SPACE PIRATE?

Alright. Is there a particular direction you'd want me to aim for? I know Seriously pretty well, I think, but we've only really known you for a little while. Something Samurai related for sure, but of these 4 categories, which sound more appealing to you? It'll help me a bit. Support, Loot, War, or Bounty?

I'd like to say War; but in team games I usually play the support guy. So I'll say Support.
