Guys, when I said that I meant that The Iron Giant is awesome and it still holds up as a fantastic film, so the "it's a kids movie and that makes its crap ok" isn't a viable excuse.

I know that I've brought it up before, but Despicable Me is the single most joyless film I have ever sat through. It wasn't so bad that it was fun to watch (a la The Room and what have you *tightens monocle*), but it had so little going on and it was so drawn out that I just sat there bored out of my mind for over an hour. Every scene felt way too long, the stupid yellow things slapping eachother just wasn't funny, it was predictable as all get out, the characters sound like either really bad improv actors trying to act out caricatures or just obnoxious kids, and the whole thing just felt empty as a result.

And don't give me any of that "it was made for kids!" bullshit. So was The Iron Giant ya dinks.

Thanks for reminding me of a movie I don't like, The Iron Giant was horrible. I never understood why people like that craptastic movie.

Becuse it has Vin Diesel doing what he does best. Acting like a giant destructive robot.

I kid, but really it's not that great but it's not as bad as you make it out to be.

I just couldn't get into that movie. I didn't laugh, I thought most of the characters didn't fit in the environment they were in, it all seemed so out of place to me.

I just saw a video that went though most of my favorite series and I remembered a movie that I truly hate (with another that I don't like, but I can put on for a laugh).

Say what you want about "Torture Porn" movies, I have always liked the saw movies. They have a nice villain (from 1 to 4) and I can enjoy most of them. Most. You see something happens to the main villain in 3 that makes him have to retire the title of "Jigsaw" and his apprentice has to step up and don the pig mask. This is ok for 4 and 5 since those are still the original Jigsaw's ideas.

The problem comes with movie 6 and 3D. These are absolutely stupid and really don't hold up to the previous films. I don't like the new guy and I wish we could have the old guy back for these last two movies. I like how they are not making those any more but the ending of 3D has me torn, as it makes me want to see more due to what happens (no spoilers).

3D horror movies. These need to stop. These were ment to scare us, and I can say that seeing Saw in 3D did scare me, the effects are laughable. Watch The Final Destination and you will laugh at most of what comes out at you. I mean really. How am I suppose to be scared of a cartoon car? (no one answer that).

Actoly, let's just say all 3D movies. The gimmicks they put in these things look stupid in 2D (which is what you most likely will watch it in).

I'd say I mostly agree with 3D being a bad idea, but Tangled and Frozen both had some really great moment in 3D. It's rare but it can pay off from time to time. 3D horror though, is pretty bad.

A has been who seems to enjoy working on shitty movies to make a living(surprised that he hasn't asked the idiots who made 'Date Movie' and 'Disaster movie' for a job). The fake trailers from the South Park episode 'The Biggest Douche In The Universe' sums up how crappy(and predictable) Rob's movies have been. Oddly enough he is one of the few people who has admitted enjoying being parodied on South Park.

Regarding on the 3D movies. There are times where its worth it. To other times it really isn't(after all, its just the same movie but you have to wear glasses and pay extra). I know I saw Frozen in 3D and it was worth it. It was also great to see the 3D in action of the short film 'Get A horse' since it made the ride of watching the cartoon more enjoyable than how I could have seen it in a 2D screening.

Anyone here hate obvious mockbuster movies? You know the kind that are released on direct to video and are usually are obvious to the point where even someone with common sense realizes its not the real deal? For every time Disney(or even Pixar and Dreamworks) releases a new animated feature. I always see a cheap knock off of the said film made by some company in Brazil. I'm surprised nobody sues these places.

Saw the 4th Dragon Ball GT movie yesterday. It was actually shaping up to be really good, with the main character (Goku's Great Great Grandson) actually being really mortal. It just kind of went down hill about 3/4ths of the way in when his turned went yellow and capped off with a "and they all lived happily ever after" which they could have EASILY justified but chose not to.

Are you talking about The Messengers? (which I need to get around to seeing since I've had the movie since forever.) Most people are going to say something around the lines of "All the Twilight actors are bad, including Kristen Stewart" but I think thay are preaty good in there own way. I think I look forward to a Kirsten Stewart movie the same way people geek out over other bad movie actors.

As for Robin Williams, all I have to say is Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting, Aladdin, Jumanji, and Night at the Museum. Also, you can't hate someone who named there kids Zelda and Cody after The Legend of Zelda and Final Fight (though the name Cody could be from somewhere else).

Also What Dreams May Come is a really good movie Robin Williams was in, although I hated One Hour Photo. Him as funny or depressed he is great, but him as creepy and crazy not so much.

Can I ask why on first class? I mean, the movie totally gives up on cannon storyline but just as a film it's actually really good where I'm concerned.

I actually liked Evil Dead. I liked that they went their own way with it but stayed pretty good to what went before and just went a little further. I know that you can pretty much predict what is going to happen, the trailer gave quite a bit away but it was still creepy and cool in many spots while also unsettling to me.

I agree with RepentantSky, why didn't you like First Class? For me it was worlds better than Last Stand by many margins regardless of it they stuck with source material. I mean unless they are directly adapting a specific arc, I don't mind them taking liberties with comic-book adapts, they just have to make sense and help move the story forward.

Maybe hate is a strong word, but I think it was far too hyped up by . . . pretty much everybody.

Not going by the original source is fine, if the material is still good. I do not think First Class succeeded in this case. Everybody was easily forgettable, especially characters that weren't established in the previous films. The script was also pretty hackmeat most of the time, I just couldn't stay interested. Sure, it's better than The Last Stand. Damn near ANYTHING was better than The Last Stand. That doesn't mean the film doesn't have problems.

I also feel they did a poor job representing the era it was suppose to take place in, which was the 60's. Doesn't help that they used a 2008 song.

So, while everyone was saying this was the perfect comic book movie, I thought it had a poor storyline and dissatisfying ending. I also really don't like Michael Fassbender. The only role I think he did a perfect job was the cyborg from Prometheus.

And about Evil Dead 2013, I felt it was much wasted potential. Both visually and otherwise. They really made it seem like it would go past boundaries little to no movies ever dared to go. You know . . . like the original. Instead, it was all so stock with little to no payoff. The only thing that made me hate it slightly less was their plan for the future films. You know, a sequel to that, alongside a sequel to Army of Darkness. THEN, they're going to do a film that combines the two worlds. That makes things a little better.

Even so, I think it tried too hard to be different while using the Evil Dead name. To me, a remake has to have a balanced combination of being different from the original, but staying true to it. Therefore, you have something new to offer while still keeping the interest of those that adored the original. Little to no remakes have done so, IMO. A few have, but not a lot.
