I personally also have a hard time having fun with most JRPGs. There are some exceptions, of course, like Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts (although that is more actionRPG), and the Mario RPG games. I just didn't like games like Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy, but their defense, I didn't get very far into them.
