Please, tell me more, i want to know.
I, uhh, can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic, so I'll assume serious for now.
Yeah, I've got 25+ years experience in the Martial Arts and in my early twenties I was on my way to taking a run at the MMA pro circuit. I was getting guidance by a guy who fought in the local UFC-stuff (not actual UFC bouts, but from these amateur rings they pulled guys to join the real UFC) in between football seasons (he was college football, with some hope of going pro in the NFL).
But when I was starting to work my way into the amatuear league I suffered a debilitating ankle injury in a sparing match. Real stupid thing, too, I did a lunging punch and lost my balance and my heel touched the side of my calf. I damaged the bone marrow and couldn't afford surgery to fix it, so it took me 4 years to heal.
Even now I'm only at about 60-80% of my ankle's function, almost ten years later, and I'm also fat and out of shape because I went from 8 hours a day of heavy labor factory work and 3-5 hours a day of martial arts training, to a desk job and not seeing the inside of a dojo for more than 5 years.
My wife is younger than I am and she goes off and on with training to get into the Women's UFC (we met in the aforementioned dojo). But honestly her biggest issue is that we can't afford a pro coach and with my ankle I just can't keep up with her to keep pushing her to the top. So she stumbles in her training and falls off the wagon for a couple months, then gets back into it and I just reach my limit quicker than she does - plus the inclusion of time restraints since we both work full time jobs (and I do tons of hours of freelance work on the side, too) limits our workout chances.
On topic though, I didn't have high hopes for For Honor when it was first announced but after seeing the gameplay stuff, particular still in Alpha mode, I'm starting to acquire some faith in the game. I had always hoped it would be good, but figured it would probably suck. Now I'm thinking it might at least be playable, if not a bit repetitive (the Viking Raider backhands like seven guys in that five-minute video). Kind of reminds me of a more technical version of Dynasty Warriors so far.
