"But were do they find all this information?"
To quote a post from Bakfromon:

The scans that @Doctrine Dark are providing are from All About Capcom 1987- 2000.
The scans @Eternal provided were pulled from All About Street Fighter Zero 3.
I provided the scans from All About Street Fighter EX, originally posted by @Sano on the Warriors Fate thread. These were never translated directly by anyone on the site to my knowledge.
Last but not least @DRW provided the scans from the Street Fighter 2 Complete File.
Usually I just shorten the names into acronyms.
None of these books are available in English, and although a lot of the general info may have been covered in some way shape or form, a majority of the information has either been lost to memory or yet to be uncovered (in English).
Ah yeah, the rather infamous Old Plot Guide.
Here's a link for the new one while we are at it: https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resi...q0yBDaNtSY
Q: "what's the difference between the old and new plot guides"?
A: If I recall correctly, the biggest complaints about the old one were...
- Gen and Gouken being robots or zombies in SF4 because Vasili could not accept they were alive.
- Shun Goku Satsu (Raging Demon/Flash Prison Murder) literally bringing the opponent to hell, as both old and new sources implie that Akuma's quotes regarding this move were just some poetic interpretations of a brutal beatdown (see the Critical Art animation in SF5).
- Whether Akuma fought Bison in SF2 or not. Also I don't know if you have read about this, but it appears that Capcom might have [recently?] fused the stories of SFA3 and SF2 into one and this is obviously not discussed in the old guide because retcons don't exist in Vasili's mind.
- The cherry on the top, however, was the refusal to give Charlie Nash's full name the slightest credit even though it appeared ingame in SF4.
vasili was the main editor of the old plot guide for those who are confused. His actions had such a ripple effect that even UDON used some of the ideas of the old plot guide in their comics, such as the whole "SGS sends people to hell" and “Bison and Rose are 1 person separated into 2 bodies”. Thank you, vasili!
