Youtube but not the videos
#61
In the end people are sadly just going to accept this new system; I still see plenty of people commenting on videos as well as people still continuing to upload. I wish people would be more willing to boycott so youtube could actually be hit where it hurts, but I don't see that happening.

Meanwhile, when I think of the Google+ BS now, this song gets stuck in my head as a response:

This is an accurate representation of Youtube and Google+.

Seriously? Thats a new form of low. It just goes to show people that Google isn't willing to admit that this was a bad move from the start. Hell. If the co-creator of youtube makes a video being completely against the latest up-grade, and later gets banned from the site. Chances are his co-workers(as well as people who are on his side of the upgrade being a bad choice) are going to revolt against both google and youtube.

I can't even comment without the Noscript on mozilla telling me that there are cookie trackers on youtube. Seriously. The upgrade is so bad even my spyscanner tells me its infected with a virus.

Oh, and I just cant into youtube now. I can't comment, I can't view any comments replying to me, I just can't into youtube anymore, even watching videos is a drag.

The worst part is that you can't even reply to comments in your own videos. You can't even like a comment without the site starting to pester you about google+

Oh, and the YT on my PS3 is starting to act up even more. Now, after watching a vide, the channel I viewed it from will appear blank until I reload it. Such a drag when you just want to watch the next interesting video there.

The worst part is they are not doing anything to get rid of the spammers they brought to their site by allowing links in comments but they are, however, attacking people who link to the petition. Well played, google, well played.

I don't want to beat a dead horse (too late), but I was looking at the guide to the new comments and I find them pretty funny.

"Smarter sorting"
See more from people you know.

AKA the more populare people get the top of the page instead of the newer comments, unless you change it every time.

"Meaningful conversations"
New threaded format and +mentions encourage discussion.

"In more places"
Comments appear from both YouTube and Google+.

Once you sign up for Google+ so you can comment, that is.

There are a ton of these and I could go on for a wile saying what wrong with what they wrote, but I will say that I like to have "Meaningful Conversations" with the unlimited characters.

I seriously laughed out loud when I saw this pop up for me. Meaningful conversation? On YouTube? Do they even know what kind of site they are running?

I mean, even Wikipedia has this quote:
"Juvenile, aggressive, misspelled, sexist, homophobic, swinging from raging at the contents of a video to providing a pointlessly detailed description followed by a LOL, YouTube comments are a hotbed of infantile debate and unashamed ignorance – with the occasional burst of wit shining through."

There is some stupid glitch on Youtube right now, where you can hear the audio of a video, but you can't actually see anything and I think it's mainly recently uploaded videos. They also become watchable only after 30 minutes of being uploaded.

That's because they're still being processed. You just have to wait it out.

Whoa there sailor, this update is actually alright. 720p videos got a boost to a max bitrate of 5000kbps and there might be a chance that videos could be played at their native framerates. (Not available at this time, and this might just be something that's being misinterpreted and it's just saying to upload at native framerates even though youtube will just reencode it to 30 fps; but a guy can dream for 60 fps goodness.)

As for the front page changes...I don't really care as I have a ton of browser plugins that make this a non-issue.

Yes, because it was waaaay too convenient for us to see a channel's videos by just clicking "videos". Now we get all kinds of shit and all of the channel's God knows how many videos are crammed in one bar. Oh, and the idea to delete the search option for channels in the side bar was an ace move. Instead of fixing something let's just throw it away. People like less options and arduous tasks, right?
