Incredible match for Chile as well, knocking the ruling champions, Spain, out of the cup ! Such a thing had never happened since 2002 with... France. Let's forget that. At least we survived three matches *ahem*.
I'm rooting for an aussie victory against Spain just because Australia has been a great sport, putting all their effort in to give us a good game. Little fake diving and free kick cheating. Love it.

England's match with Uruguay was kind of bullshit. That referee was blatantly ignoring hits from Uruguay.

Every match I've seen was filled with more than questionable descisions by the ref.

Gutted for England... But seeing Costa Rica doing well is nice.
I would have liked to see what the new England players were made of in the next rounds.


2-0 to France so far against the Swiss. Just missed a penalty Swiss goalkeeper made an excellent penalty save.

EDIT : VALBUENAAAAAAAAAAAA 3-0 !!!!

EDIT : 5-0 !!! La balade ! :D

EDIT : To be fair, the Swiss goal-keeper is doing an excellent job. His defenders are just outplayed. Some excellent, excellent saves.

Well done USA for getting through the group stages ! You played well and deserved to get through, particularly because Portugal was not playing very fairly and seemed to be complacent/borderline-arrogant about getting through.

If you meet France, it'll be in the final. Why not !

Yeah... Brasil really didn't deserve that victory against Chile.

They played poorly, roughly and were only saved by two players Neymar and Julio César. Eh.
Chile played well, (more) fairly and deserved the win.


EDIT - Brazil need to go back to how they played in their glory days. They're playing like Europeans and it's no fun to watch. No usual flair from them so far this World Cup.

GRIEZMANNNNNNNNNN !!!!!

Pfiou, uninspired victory from the French. The game only picked up when Griezmann came in.

It was close, mostly due to the excellent goal-keeping from Nigeria. It's not by playing like we did today and against Equador that we're going to win the World Cup.

Now on to Germany-Algeria !
