I'm flying back to Heathrow a week from now. Can't wait to be back in Blighty/Europe !!

(But I'll be kinda sad to be leaving North America for a few months)

64 is cold.

You live in Texas. You don't know what cold is.

What's the coldest it's been down there? It's been in the negatives plenty of times up here in Illinois.

For me, about 20 degrees.

In the winter, man 20 degrees all season long would be nice. But that's not how it goes. It gets in the teens, even single digits a lot. And it's been in the negatives before as well. We've had windchill making it feel like -40 before.

They must have liked you !

I look forward to the electronic passport control booths (for those with EU passports). Just scan your passport, go in the booth, picture taken, and off you go !
Most people don't know these exist so it takes about 30 seconds to do passport control.

Enjoy the trip.

Have an American passport, not European... I hadn't shaved any on the trip, so I had this scraggly beard thing going. I was cold that day too, so I was wearing a thick leather jacket with a shirt that was too long and hanging out at the bottom. I apparently looked suspicious. So yea, I got the extra treatment lol.

I heard a rumor we hit the 30s or 40s once. And it's sleeted three times since I was born!

Everybody please keep Tim Curry in your thoughts!: http://www.tmz.com/2013/05/24/tim-curry-...s-angeles/

Apparently he's recovering just fine, but it never hurts to send someone your best wishes.
He's 67?!

Wow.

I know some cases of stroke are bad. My dad had one a few years ago and his wasn't that bad. I mean, strokes are always bad but some of the effects that happen after having one can be bad.

My friends sister's ex-husband had one last year, I think. His was bad. Couldn't remember who some people were.

Glad to hear he's doing better.

From what I hear it all depends on how fast you get them oxygen. If it takes too long then that's what causes you to lose some function over parts of your body.

A gal at my work has been gone for I want to say over six months now because she had a heart attack and then a stroke. I've seen her and she needs a cane to walk, her speech is slurred, and her eyes dart all over the place because she can't keep them focused on one thing. It's really sad.
The only thing wrong with my dad is his left or right hand goes numb a lot.
I've worked in physical therapy before, can't tell how many stroke patients I have seen. Every case is different.
Considering that I bought two pairs of brand new jeans for $10, today was a good day.
Well I'm graduating tomorrow, so I'm finally done with high school, time to move on to better things.
