I now partly feel like an asshole as I noticed that I don't give thanks(forum thanks) like others do.

I used to never do it either on the old forums since it was a feature I wasn't used to. I still don't always remember, but at least I'm doing it much more frequently.

Don't worry, as long as you're not giving thanks and then taking away I'm sure no one's offended. I've just happened to notice this on a few of mine and wondered what I did to annoy that person so much that they removed it.
Heyooooo SERIOUSLY THOUGH here, broadcasting live from the UK. Arrived safely back in the 1st world and slept from 9pm to 7am, so no jetlag whatsoever - like a pro !

Emergency get out of auto-pilot!

It was even raining out, and the place was still dead for a park that size. There were maybe ten skateboarders and me on my blades. Anyways, had a good time, tore myself up, partially tore up one of the ramps when I bailed (woops). I'm going to need to get a new pair of skates, but that's expensive.

Nice! Hopefully the skateboarders weren't a bunch of dicks. And good luck saving up for new skates. I know my brother is always excited when he's able to get a new pair.

People remove thanks?! That's absurd. Once or twice I click my fingerpad instead of button on accident too quickly but I neeeeeeeever unthank on purpose.
TIME TO GO FIND THE TWO PEOPLE I THANKED AND DELETE THEM.
Ugh... I'm not used to working 10-12 hour days six days a week...

You must not be in customer service.
I guess that depends on your definition of customer service. What makes you say that?
Weeeeellllllppppp...
Went to a graduation party.
At a pool.
But, it's a cool day out. I had no plans of getting in the water, didn't even bring swimming trunks.

Big mistake.
So, anyways, standing by the pool, just watching. Then I notice this one little kid is bobbing up and down funny. He's struggling a little bit. I get my hand in my pocket on my phone. He goes down. Doesn't come back up. Throw my phone out of my pocket as I'm running. Manage to get my shoes off.

Jumped in. Pulled the kid back up and he was fine. Was soaked head to toe, ruined my wallet. I didn't have any extra clothes to change into either, so I was stuck in wet jeans, undies and shirt. But, that meant nothing. Guess that's what you call a good day.

My definition of customer service is working with customers face-to-face. Everything from grocery store to the mall to hairdresser.

I've worked in all 3 of the above mentioned.

Nice moves! Hero!! My friend jumped into a pool last year to save a kid. More and more parents every year don't watch their kids, so everyone should keep an eye out this summer. Also keep an eye out for kids and animals left in cars that are turned off.

Last year on the local news they did a story about someone leaving their dog in the car while they were at the State Fair. Thankfully people saw it and busted the window out to save him.

As for kids... I am so happy I haven't seen any stories lately about that. I forget how long ago it was but I recall there was a time frame where it just would not stop happening. Granted I am not a parent, but I will never understand how you can actually forget about your kid and let them roast or think you can leave them in there for extended periods while you're doing something.
I watched a thing on Discovery tonight that dealt with the tornadoes that hit oklahoma a few weeks ago.

When they got to the part about the tornado hitting the school and hearing the screams, I cried. In my 23 years of living in this small town in northern illinois, I've never seen a tornado, but I'm pretty sure last year we got hit by at least an EF 0. Knocked down a bunch of trees, and the whole town was without power for at least 12 hours. And that entire storm only lasted a few minutes, if even that. The very heavy winds lasted like 30 seconds or a minute. But it felt much longer than that.
