I feel good that I still have about 2 weeks until I have to go back.

Just a quick note on everyone freaking out about the Batman casting, here's a few comments from when Heath Ledger was announced as the Joker.

Oh maaaan...
So the two houses I looked at sucked, but I found out the house I wanted super bad actually had the sale end up falling through and the owner is really upset about it because she was almost moved out and has a new place. In other words, she's desperate to sell. I would be jumping on this house if it weren't for one problem: No air conditioning and getting central air installed is crazy expensive. It is the only home I've looked at where I could totally see myself living there so the realtor and myself are now looking into various costs and I'm thinking about what would be a good offer on the home. I'm really thinking it's this house or nothing. It has lots of closet space and other areas to store figure boxes as well as a nice big finished basement to turn into a collection room.

So... I was talking to a woman today that told me how she married her husband of 8 years. She said he came to her house, and he didn't have enough food to eat, so he asked if he would mow her lawn that she would make him a sandwich.
Her reply was that she had an empty room and that he should move in. 3 days later they were married... I'll say one thing about people: The more I learn about them, the more I realize I'm not so crazy after all... But, 3 DAYS?!? Oh yeah, my car surpassed 215,000 miles today and promptly broke down again. Always fun.

If I were in her shoes I would be too scared he'd try to rob me, or worse, and shut the door in his face. I don't trust people at all.

That might not be so bad though, you can just get a couple windowbangers for your bedroom and kitchen or wherever. It's significantly cheaper to cool the room you're in than to cool a whole house.

I just want to be comfortable in my own home is all. I'm so used to central air, plus I love having a cold temperature, so I'd rather not be uncomfortable in certain areas. I know that might sound a little silly, but I'm also thinking about my mom as well. I'm guessing that she'll end up living with me in her older age and she's even worse about heat than I am since cancer really screwed her up. I just felt a bit warm while I was re-looking at the house today while she was sweating bullets (she insists on tagging along since she thinks I can't choose the right house on my own).

Oh I definitely don't blame you, I wouldn't want a house without central air either! I'm just trying to be optimistic! XD
