Video game series which need another installment
#46
Not sure if someone mentioned this already, but I'd love to see either another Maximo or another Legacy of Kain game. I realize we're probably never going to see another LoK game, since the developer studio was dissolved and one the actors (who I think voiced the main antagonist) died.

Shame Naughty Dog implied that the 4th installment was scrapped.

Also F Zero, Klonoa, Mega man X and Ape Escape.

While not a series, it would be nice if Tresure made a sequel to Dynamite Headdy.

YES!!! MORE F ZERO!!! MOOOOOORRRRREEEEE!!!! ARRRGGHHGHGHH!!!!

And Mega Man of any type. Legends NEEDS FINISHED.
Let's see... How about a new Aggressive Inline game... Like Tony Hawk's pro skater but on blades...since I blade, had to throw that out there.
Vectorman. Uncharted Waters on a CONSOLE, not online. I hate online games.

I totally hope Downpour and Book of Memories won't end up being the last Silent Hill titles... The series' future isn't looking too bright.

Then again, I read that Hideo Kojima might take the series under his wing and use the Fox Engine to make a new SH. That should prove interesting.

Plus I think it's safe to say Amy Hennigs main focus is Uncharted now.

I will want more Banjo-Kazooie until it either happens or I die, whichever comes first.

I didn't think N&B was as bad as most people made it out to be. Sure it differentiated most from the previous 3 games but I was still able to enjoy it. Perhaps if it didn't use the Banjo-Kazooie IP it would've fared much better.

Metroid.

Seriously, Nintendo. Where is Metroid? This is really all I want right now, be it Wii U or 3DS or PC or PS4 or whatever. I'll buy a console just to play it.

For a while now, Nintendo have supposably been working on Metroid Dread, an installment which goes back to the traditional 2D gameplay. However it's been in development for so long it's supposedly been put on hiatus:

I always wanted another Oasis/Thor game after Beyond Oasis on Genesis and Legend of Oasis on Saturn... there was a rumor it was in the works during the first year of the Dreamcast, but nothing ever materialized. No interest, I guess.

Oh well... it probably wouldn't have been top-down 2D like I would've wanted anyway, and nobody cares about those games so I can see why it never got off the ground before DC died.

I would also like another Shining Force game in the vein of Neo and EXA... I don't care if they're not strategy RPG's or if everyone hated them... they were awesome hack N slash, Japanese, console-style Diablo games. EXA is my jam.

Honestly, I could sit here all day and write a list that could wrap around the world but to be short, sweet and to the point here is my top choices

1:Ristar (The story is amazing as is the music, sprites, levels, and pretty much everything)

2: Another Half-Life (Nuff Said)

3:Dynamite Headdy (This game..... need I even explain, after playing this game for the first time you just cry yourself to sleep, knowing it probably won't surface again

4:Starfox (IMO Assault was actually good, but it did'nt bring back the feeling of Starfox 64

Last but not least...

5: Unreal Tournament: One of my favorite games, it had crazy weapons, multiplayer, and characters, What I love most is that you could mod UT games to the extent that they played like different games altogether. It's a shame however, this game seems to be underrated..heck, UT3 is about $3.00 now

Only con about the game was how annoying everyone was in combat, every swing would cause the main character to grunt and cry out and what not.

THIS. SO MUCH THIS.

I would literally give my first born child for a sequel the Legend of Dragoon. And I mean that. Are you listening Sony? I'll sign the paperwork, you can have the little bastard.

I would also really love to see a sequel to Capcom's Marvel Super Heroes. Take the roster of MvC3, replace the Capcom guys with more Marvel characters and tweak the existing characters, maybe a revamped Infinity Gem system. But then again, I think we all know how SFxT turned out, so maybe the should just leave the gems out.

I'd like to see KH3 in my life time, but I'm not holding my breathe anymore. Nomura has so much on his plate right now, it's probably safe to assume we won't see it for a few more years.

There's also Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron and Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron which I'm not sure if you've already had a chance to play either.
