Very good, if not slightly rough, effort from the Albanians, despite being down to ten men. Got unlucky on a few shots.

Switzerland 1 - 0 Albania

Now onto the clash of titans, Wales vs Slovakia !

Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup earlier this evening.

And that is why it took me an hour to get home from work...because sports fans suck.

I hate having a football team, a baseball team, a hockey team, and a popular college basketball team...we have parades where we shut down half the city and huge street-stopping sporting games almost daily it seems. And in the middle of June when half the city is already under construction to repair the roads and bridges destroyed by the last winter. Cripes!

That's why I'm glad neither Ottawa, Toronto, nor Montreal made it to the play offs -- it was so peaceful here throughout the whole process.

France is the first team qualified for the 1/8th finals !!

2-0 against Albania

No goal until the 90th, then Griezmann (90') and Payet (90+6') !
Completely stoked right now, though I'd prefer if we could score a bit earlier in the game. Not good for the adrenaline levels.

Well, the NBA Finals is entering game 6 tonight between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Notable statistics:
-The Golden State Warriors have the best record in regular season NBA history (73W-9L)
-The Golden State Warriors coach is Steve Kerr. Steve Kerr played on the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls, who had the previous best NBA regular season record (72W-10W)
-No team in NBA finals history has come from a 3-1 wins deficit to win 3 games straight and win the championship. After game 4, the Cavaliers were in the 3-1 wins position.
-During this season, the Golden State has not lost back-to-back games. They lost game 5. Statistically speaking, they should win the championship tonight and with the return of Draymond Green (suspended game 5) they have a better chance of shutting down Lebron James and Kyrie Irving - reference the next stat
-Lebron James and Kyrie Irving, of the Cleveland Cavaliers, are the only two teammates in NBA history to score 40+ points each in a single NBA finals game; they did this in game 5.
-Stephen Curry, of the Warriors, is the league MVP for the past 2 seasons and the Warriors won the championship title last season. Lebron James is a 4 time MVP, having won  the championship is 2 of those seasons - 2012, 2013

I really like this North American playoff system.
I like the whole league system where the person with the most points win, but I love the idea of having a final series of games amongst the best teams -- it's so exciting.

As an Ohioan, the state nearly burned down in anger when Lebron left Cleveland.  Now, we want him to redeem himself and bring that championship to his home state.  Stats be ignored, tensions are high here, and they have been high ever since he was Rookie of the year after the 2003 season and we all had a glimmer of hope that Cleveland could actually pull home the NBA championship with a star player and break the Cleveland curse.  2007, we reached our first NBA Finals.  He's back in town, we can do it now.  I don't care what the stats say about Golden State's records, there is more anticipation across the entire state than I think people outside Ohio realize.
Come Lebron, Love and Irving.  Do it for all of Ohio.

41 points in a single game!
Lebron is going on a full out rampage to bring the Finals to Cleveland. With that, the series is tied 3-3. Final is 115-101 in Cleveland's favor.

Just keep this up in game 7.
BUT SERIOUSLY, HOW MUCH CAN ONE PERSON DOMINATE?

Now the Cavs have the obstacle of playing game 7 in Oakland. You know it's going to be tough.
Now, I'm no fan of LeBron, but I'll admit he's tearing it up. Curry may be season MVP, LeBron deserves Finals MVP. I wish the officiating was better (2 fouls on Curry was bs and be shouldn't have fouled out) and it seems everyone "flops". Conspiracy theories are flying around and will for a long time (unless Golden State wins, then it's "against everyone and the NBA, they pulled it off").
That's okay. Give me the Bulls in the Jordan Era or the Detroit Pistons during the Bad Boy Era. The Cavs and Warriors, both, would be finding a hole to hide in.

I'm getting ahead of myself here - let's think of next season
-IMO, the Warriors and Cavs could go all the way to the Finals, not just the playoffs, again.
-Whoever signs Derrick Rose from free agency is going to be a better team, if he can stay healthy (he's still in his 20's and that's good). Phoenix Suns have a great medical staff and Michael Jordan should love getting a Bulls player and putting him on the Charlotte Hornets team that could possibly take the Eastern Conference.

I guess the closest to soccer/football was if a single player had the most goals, assists, steals and shots on goal for an entire series?
Because as of right now, Lebron James has made more points then any other player on either team in the past 6 games.  He has stolen the ball more times than any other player on either team the past 6 games.  He has grabbed the ball back into play the most times out of anyone in the past 6 games.  He has passed the ball for an assist more times than anyone else the past 6 games.  He has blocked other people from making a shot more times than anyone else for the past 6 games.
Basically, he has been by far the best defensive player the whole series while ALSO being the best offensive player this entire series.  It's pretty rare to see someone in ANY sport leading the stats on the offensive side while being good on the defensive side or vice versa, but LeBron James right now has made the most points and assists of any player WHILE making the most defensive plays too.  To me, that is just absolutely insane.

He's definitely dominant, but I think you just looked past the fact that SERIOUSLY turned your general question into a direct question to SERIOUSLY. Good game.

Game 7 of the NBA Finals is on right now. I stated watching in the 4th quarter with 6 minutes left. It's intense right now.

The Cavaliers win. The Cleveland drought is over. 93-89.
Also, LeBron James is now #2 on the list of most Finals games while performing a triple-double, with 7. Magic Johnson is #1 with 8.
Cleveland is also the only team to come back from a 3 loss deficit to win the Finals.
