They say you can go straight to the final boss if you want to. That's how open the world is.

As cool as it is to rush through stuff, every speedrunner I know agrees that the most important way to make a good speedgame is to just have good game mechanics and make a good game that's fun to play over and over.

and then there's the people who speed run broken Sonic games and Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories.

My younger daughter said we "need this game" after I showed her some gameplay videos. I agree. I've already told my wife I'll be buying a new console for this one game. Her response was "you're buying a player's guide for this one" (for her. I still owe her a player's guide for Skyward Sword).

Since I haven't been using the internet for the passed five days, might as well give my feedback.

Pros:
- As much as I hate Open World games, this seems like they've thought out a lot of it. It won't just be an empty lifeless wasteland whereas it won't be something that is forcing you to do too much. It seems as if it's fit a nice balance
- The game seems like it will have a lot to do, from exploring (which I'm happy is a big focus of the game) to random side quests that could be missable but will give you some great weapons/items for doing it
- Cooking food is interesting, and I'm hoping that it can play some big parts in the gameplay rather than just temperature changes and more hearts (although, both of those are great)
- The physics seems interesting and I'm hoping some dungeons and bosses utilise them quite well
- The way to obtain items seems quite fun, it's like you have to prove you can use the item to truly obtain it. Might be fun.

Cons:
- Voice Acting.
- The Sheikah Slate.
- Missing an important items might limit how you play, hopefully not. But if I say missed the bombs for whatever reason, this might limit my gameplay in some way.
- The pop in is quite bad, I'm hoping the NX version improves upon this.
- Seems to be a lack of story from what I've seen, although they do say that if you do a lot, you'll piece it together. I'm just hoping that doing the basics can give you the basics, and doing more can give you extra lore
- Even though it looks like there is tons to do, I hope it doesn't end up like Fallout 4 where there's is just nothing to do because everything is the same, and nothing changes.

Overall, I like it. Can't wait for it to come out.

Just sort of curious. Have we even been given the story of what is going on in this Zelda game?

Still, if it opens doors to certain dungeons, then its clearly a key item that is very important for this game.

And? I didn't say it wasn't important, I just said what it was and what I know it can do. I feel like you assumed the worst from me and responded with unnecessary attitude.

I wasn't responding with an unnecessary attitude Repentant. I wasn't intending to sound like I was. I'm just saying that its an important object of the game.

[Rumor] Zelda: Breath of the Wild Won’t Be a Switch Launch Title

^

It's like everything I learn about the Switch is bad news or something that's too good to be true, and thus isn't.

I fell for the Wii U, not this time Nintendo. I'll wait a long time to see if it's worth the money.

Zelda game mixed with Open World? Not to be negative(oh but I am), I'm not quite feeling the hype toward this. I know this will be amazing once I actually play the game but it hasn't peaked my interest enough to get a Switch just for this.

Though I could just be burned out from the re-releases of Majora's Mask, Windwaker, and Twilight Princess.

After seeing the trailer for life in the ruins. I will safely say that this was my reaction throughout the entire video.

This game looks INCREDIBLY AMAZING. Its taking pointers from what they did with OOT, the look of Twilight Princess, and the character designs from Wind Waker(in a bit more of a realistic matter) and perfectly executing it into a title that is clearly worth the Zelda game. This game. Is gonna be(dare I say it)...legendary!
