General "Did you Know?"s
The sun death thing came from the Dracula clone, Nosferatu in an attempt to change the movie's ending so that they wouldn't be sued for blatant copyright infringement. This was unsuccessful but the concept of sun death stuck.

Al saying there is about 127 more to list is infact wrong but was possibly added in as '27' is part of a running gag in his songs

The Cat Returns was supposed to be a 20 minute short to advertise for a Japanese theme park using the Baron and Moon (Muta) from Whisper of the Heart.

Muta's character design was based off of a female cat that had wondered into Studio Ghibli headquarters several times and was eventually accepted and adopted by those who worked at the studio.

The cat Language spoken in The Cat Returns was done by staff members making the noises in succession which was then later edited for use in the film. This is true for all cat speak used in the film accept for the Cat King himself who's voice actor did the speak himself in order to keep the voice the same when he spoke a different language.

Studio Ghibli broke tradition when making the Cat Returns as up until that point they alternated between a Hayao Miyazaki film and Isao Takahata film with one oddly coincidental film, Whisper of the Heart. Knowing things would have to change and after going through several possible directors, Hiroyuki Morita, who had done animation for Studio Ghibli's previous film "My Neighbors the Yamadas" was chosen and the film was released in 2002.

Hiroyuki was also a key animator in several famous or infamous other films such as Ghost in the SHell 2: Innocence (2004), Tales from Earthsea (2006) and Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos (2011).

Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from A New Hope was made out of a Graflex 3-Cell Camera Flash. The prop guys just removed the flashbulb and added cut up pieces of windshield wipers for the grips.

Since Weird Al got his first number 1 album, let's mention something about him...
The music video to "Fat" him a Grammy Award for "Best Concept Music Video" (this award was later replaced by the Best Short Form Music Video and Best Long Form Music Video)
Also, one of that fat backup dancers was just the pizza delivery guy. He delivered pizza to the casting office right before shooting started. The producer thought that he looked perfect for the part and offered him a spot as one of the dancers right then and there. All the other dancers simply responded to a newspaper advertisement that read "Very Fat Dancers Needed".

Back in 1993, there were plans for a Betty Boop movie. An animated film based off of the creation from Max and Dave Fleischer. Management changed places at the time and the movie was later canned. The only thing that came out of it was this storyboard reel of a song sung by Betty and her father Benny Boop. Milton Knight(Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog, Twisted Tales of Felix the cat) would have been the animator in charge of Bimbo the musical dog if this project got through.

Let's keep talking about Betty Boop.

BETTY BOOP - Origin

Ms. ESTHER JONES, known by her stage name, “Baby Esther,” was an ” African-American singer and entertainer of the late 1920s. She performed regularly at the (The Cotton Club) in Harlem.

Singer Helen Kane saw her act in 1928 and (COPIED or stole ). Ms Jones’ ‘baby’ Singing Style! > for a recording of “I Wanna Be Loved By You.”

Ms. Jones’ singing style went on to become the inspiration for (( Max Fleischer )) cartoon character’s Voice and SINGING style of BETTY BOOP, was YES a Black Woman.

Her singing trademark Was.. “boop oop a doop “.. In a baby voice at the cotton club in Harlem. -
Esther Jones who’s stage name was “Baby Esther” was a popular entertainer at Harlem’s Cotton Club in the late 1920s. Baby Esther interpolated words such as ‘Boo-Boo-Boo’ & ‘Doo-Doo-Doo’ in songs at a cabaret.
Helen Kane SAW Baby’s act in 1928 and (stole) Used it in her hit song I Wanna Be Loved By You.

An early test sound film was also discovered, which featured Baby Esther performing in this style, disproving Kane’s claims. Baby Esther’s manager also testified that Helen Kane had saw Baby Esther’s cabaret act in 1928.

Supreme Court Judge Edward J. McGoldrick ruled: “The plaintiff has failed to sustain either cause of action by proof of sufficient probative force”. In his opinion, the “baby” technique of singing did not originate with Kane.

$250,000 infringement lawsuit

Esther’s manager also testified that , Helen Kane & her manager , saw Baby’s act somewhere between 1928-1929.
Scholar Robert G.O’ Meally said, Betty Boop The WHITE CARTOON herself had, as it were, a BLACK grandmother in her backround.

Baby Esther was presumed dead by 1934, just when the lawsuit had ended.

^ I knew none of that and the picture looks like a live action movie was being made of the cartoon. It's a little creepy to see the woman who was the bases for a cartoon and have her look almost exactly like her.

Intriguing.

One of the weirdest diseases known to man is progeria, or premature aging. It affects only 1 in 8 million. Very few live past 13, past 20 is exceptional. Most die of heart problems. Signs include hair loss, a very small, fragile body with a large head and a beak like nose. Two of the most famous people with the disease are also two of the longest lived sufferers of it. The oldest person with the disease was Meg Casey, who lived to 29 before her death in 1985.
Another famed case was that of Leon Botha, aka DJ Solarized. Born is Cape Town, South Africa, he became a professional painter with several of his own exhibitions during his life despite having no formal training. One of these exhibitions had a theme woven throughout that was his favorite phrase "When life gives you lemons, I slice 'em and serve 'em back!"
He also taught himself to become a DJ and joined the hip hop trio Die Antwoord. Not long after the band's first success (when their music video "Enter The Ninja") went viral on Youtube, he suffered a massive stroke due to progeria. This stopped his music work but not his painting. He would pass away from complications related to the stroke 7 months later. This painting was a self portrait he made not long before his death 1 day after his 26th birthday.

In the spoiler, the music video that made him and his band internet famous (Die Antwoord is still together as a duo).

Did you know that "Weird Al" Yankovic had a tv show?
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Weird_Al_Show

It was made in 1997 and only ran one season (13 Episodes) before it was cancelled by CBS. It is rumored that CBS dropped the show because it was a little to similar to PeeWee's Playhouse.

In my opinion, I didn't really find Peewee's Playhouse funny.

I mentioned some of this trivia of Roger Rabbit before, but here's some test footage from it when Disney was trying to make it in 1983. Note. That the characters look different on how they appear in the version we ended up getting. This was more on the lines of the original book that it was based off of(the conversation of captain cleaver and valiant is in the original book). And there's some test animation with Paul Rubens voicing Roger. I think I mentioned that in the book, Valiant is a bit like the author Gary Wolf in terms of looks.

I though PeeWee was funny, but Al was definitely the better comedian.
