While I like that you guys chose Pokémon over Advanced Warfare or The Master Chief Collection. I'd love to see this in colour as opposed to monochrome. I don't think it's that distracting.

That wouldn't really work here. The forum shares the same overall template with the site and it would be very difficult to skin the forum separately from the site as a whole.

We generally go with the biggest new release of the month (that we care about). Smash Bros for Wii U is obviously a big name this month but since we did Smash Bros last month, we had to go with something else. We agreed that the new Pokemon games outweighed both Call of Duty and Halo (which are basically the same game now - a sad day since I miss non-Call of Duty-style Halo).

The background hasn't been changed in quite a while, maybe it's time for a new one, preferably Mortal Kombat X.

I'm not sure if I really like it or I was just bored of the last background, but I think I like this one alot more then the last one.

I'm also going to say that I forgot about the background after awhile, only every now and again noticing that it was still the same.

I've wanted to change it for a while but we've been so close for so long now that we decided it made more sense to just finish the new layout and launch with a new background. It just took a little longer than anticipated initially which is why we were stuck on the old one for so long. In hindsight, we probably should have just changed it sooner but hindsight is always 20/20 and we were focused on the new features instead.

Arkham Knight just came out, God of war 3 remaster is coming out, Splatoon and Witcher 3 came out the end of May, Skullgirls 2nd Encore is out as of the 7th...
Pickings are a bit slim I guess until MGSV in September.
