I really like Gemmell's work. About two years ago, I found an old copy of Morningstar at my house. Thought, "eh, I've never read novels like this before, I'll give it a go."

I've read most of his books back to back since then -- I'm thinking of starting the Stones of Power series next once I finish this current book I'm reading. So far, I've read the Drenai, Rigante, Damned and Hawk Queen series, which I think is 18 books, counting Morningstar, but his work is still as enjoyable to read as ever !

Have not read Morningstar or the Hawk Queen series, but I could read the Drenai books over and over again, forever. His characters are so real. He started to write a Troy series, but died before his finished it. I think his son took over the writing. Have read the first and really enjoyed it.

One thing that I find really funny is that you have to ask the person who sell cigarettes to hand you 50 Shades of Gray at Wal-Mart (at lest at mine you do). I know it's basically pron in book form, but still.

We had to take beach balls and write words on them.

They threw eyeballs and kittens to us.

We tossed the balls around the crowd a few times...

Then threw them onstage and played Mad Libs!

The other authors names are Monica Drake and Chelsea Cain. Both of their short stories were great as well. I can't wait to get my hands on their novels. I recommend all three authors!

I am currently reading a book about Michael Eisner(the former CEO for Disney) on where he started out and how he got in the Disney company. Its pretty interesting to say the least.

Favorite author's Palahnuik, eh? I only read Fight Club and Choke. Both were really good. I also recall reading bits of Haunted, but I don't remember it too well anymore.

My favorite author is Nail Gaiman.

I also like House of Leaves, which you should read. It's surreal. I'm serious. Cuccos. Stop forum browising when you're done reading this response of mine. Go to your favorite book store and fucking BUY HOUSE OF LEAVES.

Then PM me what you thought of it.

Seriously.

"Of Mice and Men" is a great book. Anything by John Steinbeck is. Hope you'll enjoy it.

I love "Of Mice and Men" and I hate it at the same time. It is such a good book but I hate it for being one of the few books to make me cry. I want to talk about it, but I want people to read the book.

Those are both great books. Have you seen the movies? I loved them too. Palahniuk himself said he likes the ending to Fight Club in the film better than in his own book. He's also writing a sequel to Fight Club, ten years in the future after the first ends, in graphic novel format!

I highly recommend finishing Haunted. That's one of my favorites of his, along with Invisible Monsters.

As soon as I finish the 17,469,295 books I have now, i'll pick that one up haha. But for real, i'll get it as soon as i'm done with the ones i'm reading.

Of Mice and Men is a fantastic book, as sad as it is. School reading doesn't always suck. People just go into it thinking "it's for school, so it must suck". Make that decision for yourself when you're done :) Also, check out banned books such as "Catcher in the Rye" which is one of my all time favorites.
