Ever heard a song so many times that you didn't even realize it was a cover? Well, here's some original songs that you most often hear the cover.

I knew about Hurt, not so much Hound Dog. I always found it really cool to find songs and than later find out that it was a cover of a older song than compare them. The ones I can think of off the top of my head are:

How soon is now. Made by the smiths in 1985. It was later made a cover by Love Spit Love, which most of you would know if you would know if you watched Charmed when it was on. Later it was covered again by the band T.A.T.U., but it's nothing to talk about in my opinion.
The other is a song called God Gave Me You (yes it's a country song move along if you don't like this type of music.)
Most people have heard of the Blake Sheldon version, but did you know that Dave Barnes made the song a year earlier?
And if you want to know I prefer the Love Spit Love version and the Dave Barnes version.

Of course the Love Spit Love version would be better, it being a branch off of The Psychedelic Furs after they broke up. I know The Smiths are legendary, but I'm a much bigger fan of the Butler brothers and all that they have done with The Psychedelic Furs and Love Spit Love. It's just got much more variety.

I often have this debate within myself about certain musics, and when I do I look to one of the great sages of our time for answers and enlightenment

Dave Ghrol Wrote:“I don’t believe in guilty pleasures. If you fucking like something, like it. That’s what’s wrong with our generation: that residual punk rock guilt, like, “You’re not supposed to like that. That’s not fucking cool.” Don’t fucking think it’s not cool to like Britney Spears’ “Toxic.” It is cool to like Britney Spears’ “Toxic”! Why the fuck not? Fuck you! That’s who I am, goddamn it! That whole guilty pleasure thing is full of fucking shit.”

Such wisdom. SUCH TRUTH.

I think this song describes the forums and the drama as late, BUT DON'T SAY ANOTHER WORD ABOUT IT, JUST ENJOY SOME CLASSIC FATS DOMINO!
And while you're at it, enjoy some Dream Theater also:

Everyone wanted creepy music videos right before bed, right? Perfect nightmare fuel!

Click the spoiler for half skeleton babies, singing decapitated babies, cannibals, men morphing to rats and more! But it really is one of the greatest songs you will ever hear from one of the most underrated bands ever. And, the lead singer has written most of the music for almost all of Tim Burton's movies. Consider yourself warned.
The early version of the Borg. Was created by Dio.
Two words: Aphex Twin. Now run. To your daddy.

So, sometimes music is perfect for just being flat out hilarious. Here's one altered to be so, and two songs that are just so funny naturally.
