Bandai Namco has released another trailer for Soul Calibur VI.

Eric Jacobus killed it again.

He should replace Mokujin once TEKKEN 8 drops off (yes, I will keep saying that phrase, LOL).

Video
Remenber that "Why MKX's animations suck" video I posted a while ago? Well, the guy also did a analysis regarding the desings of the first batch of SFV newcomers.
I'm kind of impressed with the depth of analysis in the videos. Good stuff.

I don't know to react the idea of 11 different versions of Street Fighter II and III and no IV.

At Capcom Cup 2017, Sakura was revealed as the first Season 3 character for Street Fighter V.

Liking the new desing. Wonder if she's/will become a gym teacher (video despcription says she had graduated from High School). Come on, just any excuse in order to have that one outfit from 'Sakura Ganbaru!'.

Oh yeah, and they also revealed the new Cinematic Opening for the game.

Ya know, I'm really excited for fighting games in the next few months. Kinda feels like we're having a resurgence of sorts.

That resurgence has been happening since the SF4 era, my dude.

Nah, I mean a proper resurgence. We got more people going at it with SF4 because of proper online play, but we've always been a niche genre.

After reading more of High Score Girl, I've been thinking of playing more fighting games, since they're a noticeable blemish on my gaming record.

I've played tons of Soul Calibur for the original Dreamcast back in the day, but apart from that I never cared for them. I should really go back and try and finish some story modes in the original Street Fighter games, as well as playing Darkstalkers, Mortal Kombat and Marvel vs Capcom.

I've always found fighting games to be something you really gotta put time into, which is why I only really enjoyed the original Soul Calibur since I played that as a kid, but apart from that I guess I never really played anything else.

Hoping for SC6 to be good though, I actually finished the story on 4 and 5 surprisingly.

Snag Skullgirls on PC during a sale. Best fighting game that can run on most PCs imo

I already own Skullgirls and have given it a whirl here and there, it was fun but I stopped playing it after getting a few characters endings.

If by proper resurgence you mean become even less niche then it has been happening since 2016. Specially if you consider this happened:

Street Fighter V constantly improving since it's lackluster launch, more info on Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator, MKX Kombat pack 3, Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite's annoucement, Killer Instict season 3 AND The King Of Fighters XIV.

There's no nothing clever I can say, this year has been amazing for the genre.

There are also things such as Under Night in-Birth on PC, Injustice 2 getting announced and Bayonetta in Smash. All of this events brought a lot of attention to the genre.

Shall we especulate about what happened in the 1.5-2.5 years since this ending happened?

What made Cody rethink his life and cut through his apathy? Was it Jessica? Was it Poison? (Remenber Final Fight Revenge?) Or was it because of the chaos that was inflicted on Metro City in ASF?

Whatever happened, it had to be something major. An event that made him said something among the lines of: "I keep denying it, but I went out of my way to help. Challenging and beating up scumbags.... and it felt good. Maybe there's something to being a hero again. It ain't just limited to Metro City."

Cody is easily the S3 character I'm looking foward the most.

Goku Black, Beerus, and Hit join Dragon Ball FighterZ

About time they confirmed some characters from the "Super" era of Dragon Ball (the Blue forms of Goku and Vegeta don't count), now the only thing we need are some characters from the pre-Z era and maybe some GT and movie characters.
