Here's a new TV commercial for Dragon Ball FighterZ. This commercial is mostly composed of the opening for the game.
I find it interesting how the Artificial Humans are refered to as "Androids" even on Japanese material. But then again, they use names such as "Krylin" and "Ginew" so...

"But were do they find all this information?"
To quote a post from Bakfromon:

The scans that @Doctrine Dark are providing are from All About Capcom 1987- 2000.
The scans @Eternal provided were pulled from All About Street Fighter Zero 3.
I provided the scans from All About Street Fighter EX, originally posted by @Sano on the Warriors Fate thread. These were never translated directly by anyone on the site to my knowledge.
Last but not least @DRW provided the scans from the Street Fighter 2 Complete File.
Usually I just shorten the names into acronyms.
None of these books are available in English, and although a lot of the general info may have been covered in some way shape or form, a majority of the information has either been lost to memory or yet to be uncovered (in English).
Ah yeah, the rather infamous Old Plot Guide.
Here's a link for the new one while we are at it: https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resi...q0yBDaNtSY
Q: "what's the difference between the old and new plot guides"?
A: If I recall correctly, the biggest complaints about the old one were...
- Gen and Gouken being robots or zombies in SF4 because Vasili could not accept they were alive.
- Shun Goku Satsu (Raging Demon/Flash Prison Murder) literally bringing the opponent to hell, as both old and new sources implie that Akuma's quotes regarding this move were just some poetic interpretations of a brutal beatdown (see the Critical Art animation in SF5).
- Whether Akuma fought Bison in SF2 or not. Also I don't know if you have read about this, but it appears that Capcom might have [recently?] fused the stories of SFA3 and SF2 into one and this is obviously not discussed in the old guide because retcons don't exist in Vasili's mind.
- The cherry on the top, however, was the refusal to give Charlie Nash's full name the slightest credit even though it appeared ingame in SF4.
vasili was the main editor of the old plot guide for those who are confused. His actions had such a ripple effect that even UDON used some of the ideas of the old plot guide in their comics, such as the whole "SGS sends people to hell" and “Bison and Rose are 1 person separated into 2 bodies”. Thank you, vasili!

More gameplay footage of Gotenks in Hyper Dragon Ball Z.
Fun fact: the outfit Gotenks is wearing is a reference to 'Adult Gotenks' from Dragon Ball Heroes.

From SFV AE:
I'm glad they went and expanded Ryu's fight against birdie in SF1. It adds a lot more depth to the story and character. And this obviously is the first step into Birdie's eventual obesity.
EDIT: for those who are confused, according to the 'All About Street Fighter Zero' book, Ryu fought 20 fighters in Thailand before being noticed by Sagat. Thus, implying that the whole SF1 tournament is something that's only based in Thailand, and any other fight Ryu may have had with the remaining characters during this time could just be part of his global journey. The only fight we knew about in SF1 for the longest time was Ryu vs Sagat, and subsequently its the one that's referenced as the championship match of the world martial arts tournament.
Basically, SF1 is about Ryu's global journey which culminates in Thailand during Sagat's world martial arts tourney where Ryu demolishes 20 opponents (maybe Adon being one of them) before Sagat took notice of his existence.

So we pretty much know the basic layout for the story of each SF game, right?
- Street Fighter 1=Ryu's global journey which ends with the tournament hosted by Sagat.
- Street Fighter Alpha=Ryu learning about the SnH, Nash fighting against Shadaloo, Bison recruiting, etc.
- Street Fighter 2=World Warrior tournament hosted by Bison.
- Street Fighter 4=S.I.N. Tournament hosted by Seth.
- Street Fighter V=Prologue stories + A Shadow Falls.
- Street Fighter 3=World Tournament hosted by Gill. Third Strike's story is similar to Alpha, with everyone doing their own thing.
So knowing this, we can predict who are going to be the final bosses of each arcade run in SFV AE.
For SF1, it seems that not everyone will be fighting Sagat . I think everyone will fight Ryu, except Ryu himself who will fight Sagat.
Much like in the actual Alpha 1 and Alpha 2 games, everyone will have a fight with their own rival. Same will happen with SF3s arcade run.
As for SFIV, Juri will likely be the final boss in order to replace Seth. Either that or they will pull up an Alpha if you know what I mean.
As for SFV, well, this is more akin to wishful thinking, but basically it will give us some epilogues that take place after the events of ASF.

SRK Forums to close at the end of January 2018 (they are closing because usage has dropped substaintially, but they are talking to Vanilla Forums to see if SRK can make a read-only archive of said forums)
As someone who has been lurking on the Street Fighter story thread since it's humble beginnings back in December of 2015, it's a shame to see it go. 740+ pages worth of discussion and translations... gone to waste *sigh* . Hopefully they can manage to get an archive, there's a lot of valuable info not just in that thread, but in SRK as a whole.
How the story crew is reacting to this announcement (I now this isn't exactly the best time to talk about this BUT I wouldn't mind if at least three story menbers like Shockdingo, Bakfromon and/or Miðgarðsorm migrated over here. This place needs some fresh meat)

UPDATE: Looks like that not only they are migrating the servers from Vanilla Forums to Discourse, they are also planning for some perks for Patreon supporters as well!
I'm happy for the SRK users. Those forums are an chapter withim the history of the FGC.
