On a serious note: I think the mode should be called "prologue mode" instead, because that's pretty much it's purpose.

This week's KOF XIV trailer highlights the classic Fatal Fury team, featuring the 3 iconic heroes of the original fighting game series: Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard and Joe Higashi.

This is also the first time that Muay Thai specialist Joe Higashi has been shown in King of Fighters XIV gameplay.

And since we are on the subject of KOF, take a look at the "Burn To Fight" Premium Edition for NA: http://www.fightersgeneration.com/screen...dition.htm

Seth:

http://game.capcom.com/cfn/sfv/column-122155.html

Now we have Seth, the president of Shadaloo's affiliated company S.I.N.
What does he have in his stomach? It spins!
(Cool...!)

Name: Seth
Height: 198cm
Weight: 85kg
Blood Type: unknown
Birthday: unknown
Home Country: unknown
Favorite things: make plans
Dislikes: spoiled people

The CEO of S.I.N., upon which Shadaloo depends for weapons.
He has remodeled his body, and has the power to use data from every school of martial arts.
Reluctant to give his body to Lord Vega as substitute, he planned a takeover of Shadaloo.
Huh? Takeover? How despicable!

Cody:

This time, we have the protagonist of Final Fight,
a man who has screwed up the criminal organization Mad Gear with the sole aid of his fists
(and his knives, and his pipes, and his katanas)

Name: Cody
Height: 185cm
Weight: 80kg
Blood Type: O
Birthday: April 18
Home Country: USA
Favorite things: Provoking brawls
Dislikes: Being lectured

Once the hero of Metro City, he didn't fit in a peaceful environment; so he started picking fights until he was thrown in prison.

Today's SF profile is Blanka

the translation was provided by "Miðgarðsorm" of the SRK forums:

He learned from electric eels how to discharge electricity from his body, and violently rams his opponents while spinning!
(He should've hurt himself pretty badly, the first times...)
He's Blanka. Real name, Jimmy.

Name: Blanka
Height: 192cm
Weight: 98kg
Blood Type: B
Birthday: February 12
Home Country: Brazil
Favorite things: Tropical fruits, Samantha, Arapaima¹
Dislikes: Army ants

A savage kid; the plane which he was on crashed when he was still a child in the deeps of the Rainforest, and he survived by learning how to defend himself.
He toys with his opponents, and has distinctive unhortodox movements.
And he loves Samantha, his mom!

¹ This fish. Remember it from his SF2 stage?

I do not get why people are even comparing her to Naruto. Ibuki came out way before that trash. Her chi blast, rasengan? sthu stupid kids.

Is it really all that odd? This iteration is running off of similar themes and she is a ninja. Chrono Trigger came out before DBZ's Cell Saga and I still think Lavos looks like Cell.

It didn't. Chrono Trigger was released 1995 and the Android Saga started in the manga in 1991, with Cell introduced in 1992. Even with the anime the Android and Cell sagas went from 1991 to 1993.

Same goes with Naruto, apparently. Both SFIII and the original Naruto pilot chapter came out in 1997, even though the Naruto series didn't kick off until 1999.

All heil the almighty Wikipedia.

Hmm, my mistake then. That's what I get for trying to remember something off the top of my head.

I... I think you people missed the point completely. The point is that many people believe that Masashi Kishimoto came up with all those "ninja" concepts when in fact he took then from popular mythos and Buddhist concepts. Because Naruto fans don't know this, they assume that when another franchise takes elements from the same source of inspiration, they believe they are actually taking inspiration from Naruto.

Naruto did NOT came up with the concept of a rasengan-like Ki blast. Naruto did not invent the ninja tropes people usually associated with the series, those elements have existed BEFORE either Naruto or SF where even created.

To explain my point in even simpler terms: Naruto fans be like "Naruto invented ninjas!"

Some Tekken 7 news:

A YAMASA X TEKKEN collab, a new business model and more characters to come after FR releases in Japan

Also, Harada said that he and Tekken 7 won't be at E3 this year, and Namco has a fighting game stated to be shown there.

Let's make our bets, shall we?:

1. Xenoverse 2
2. Eyes Of Heaven
3. Soul Calibur 6
4. Something else
Reply
I'll bank on Xeno 2. I'm really not sure how they're gonna continue Soul without a reboot. So much of the roster is dead or dying.
