Iori Yagami's gameplay trailer has been revealed for The King of Fighters XV.

Iori's design in this game is based off a few official artworks of Iori Yagami wearing a trench coat. These artworks also served as inspiration for Another Iori, a Striker character who appeared in KOF2000.

Happy 30th anniversary to Street Fighter II. 30 years of a game that changed a genre!

EDIT: Ky Kiske has a Dragon Install in Guilty Gear STRIVE!! I'm not kidding!


Now, this looks like it came out of nowhere. But the truth is that this has an origin. I'm gonna quote a comment from EventHubs user SolxBaiken.

First off, Ky was shot near the climax of Xrd -SIGN-, HOWEVER GG2 (aka Overture) does explain that scene and this new technique.

More specifically, the Overture Material Collections (essentially an art, data, and development book) does as each character received a short story with pretty critical plot details that is of course accessible nowhere else (Japan loves convoluted mixed media narratives!)

Anyways, in Ky's MC short story he goes over the day he handed Sin to Sol and curiously he is sporting a slightly different look than the one in-game. An illustration shows Ky with an eye-patch on the same side of his face as Sin's and it is heavily implied that their eyes were transplanted in one another in order to limit the power of Sin's Gear cells.

Sadly this didn't go anywhere in the actual game because this (and pretty much all the short stories' events) are never referenced again. Then the scene in SIGN happened, resurfacing the relevance of the event...until REVELATOR once again all but ignores it...but it seems like StrIVe will finally address it...and in a BIG way.

Also, while not "technically canon" Ky has had an Install move before: "Kakusei" (or "Awakened") Ky and Sol were secret boss versions of the characters on steroids in Isuka, and this version of Ky sported an Install Super of his own.

And keeping it in the family, EX Dizzy in the XX games has a "Necro Install" which operates in a very similar manner.

The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match/KOF 2002 UM is now available on PS4. This is the enhanced version with Rollback netcode (the same version that was on PC).

I wonder if we are going to get KOF 2002 UM Rollback Edition on Switch and Xbox...

Really pumped that they implemented Rollback to 2002 UM and hopefully they do they same with KOF15. And for the real ones out there, the physical copies of the KOF 2002 UM are also out as well.

Joe Higashi's gameplay trailer has been revealed for The King of Fighters XV.

Man, the people who were expecting either Kyo, Chizuru, Vice, or Mature must be confused...

The fact they posted this after the Iori's trailer... Does this mean that Joe will team up with Iori? Cuz if that's the case the interactions between them are going to be hilarious. It would also mean that Joe is gonna be relevant to the story somehow.

Then again, this could also mean that Iori will go solo like he did in '97, '99 and 2000. Or that SNK is now posting the trailers out of order. Only time will tell.

"Bro, why are there so many people saying that they don't want Iori and Joe in the same team becuase it wouldn't make sense? Is not the first time that Iori was put in random teams (see '95 and 2001)".

The 2001 team makes a little sense, tho. The agents (Seth, Ramon, Vanessa) neeeded to find Kyo, Iori was also looking for Kyo. They had a common goal.

Yes, I've actually seen people say that the '95 Rivals team was random (they are a minority but still). To which I say to those people that the '95 team was FAR from random. Iori's team in this game is called "Rival's team", and it's menber are exactly just that, rivals. Iori is Kyo's rival. Billy Kane is the rival to the Bogard brothers (Terry and Andy). Eiji Kisaragi is the rival to Kyokugenryu Karate (Ryo, Robert, Takuma, ect).

Rivals Team from KOF95 is never coming back due to story reasons (see the team's ending).

The point here is that SNK would need a really good explanation to make Joe and Iori work together.

But for real tho. Despite its disastrous launch the game eventually turned into something more respectable. I said "respectable", not perfect.

"Why are people still complaining about Street Figter V launch? This is not the first time something like this happened. Or are you gonna tell me that SF2 World Warrior, SF3 New Generation, and SF4 vanilla are complete games? This is not the first time it happened."

So what? Just because it happened before doens't mean it is ok!

Kyo Kusanagi's gameplay trailer has been revealed for The King of Fighters XV.

The fact that there was no team confirmation like in Benimaru's trailer means no, Joe is not suddenly buddies with Iori and Kyo. In other words, this confirms that SNK is now posting the trailers out of order.

Also, why are there so many people saying that this game and KOF XIV look the same? I'm asking because they fucking don't.

It's one thing to say that you don't like KOF XV visual style. But to say that these two games look the same it's a LIE. Either that or you need to have your eyes checked.

With that being said, I do admit that the KOF XV visuals aren't perfect and there is still room for improvement.

Arc System Works Extends Guilty Gear -STRIVE- Beta

All the announcements made during the Japan Fighting Game Publisher Roundtable

The female Prime Minister of Poland (in the TEKKEN universe) has been teased as a playable character for TEKKEN 7 Season 4.


SNK's Yasuyuki Oda showed a new Samurai Shodown Season 3 gameplay trailer for Cham Cham.


It was also revealed that a Guilty Gear character is coming to Samurai Shodown.


Speaking of Guilty Gear, I-no was revealed for Guilty Gear StrIVe. She's the 15th and last playable character in the launch roster.

The trailer also features some sort of tag-mode. As we can see with Sol and Ky switching quickly with each other.

I like I-No's redesign. Her new black top is a nice contrast to the rest of her red outfit. Sure, that win pose where she removes her red jacket (or whatever) no longer has the same impact as before, and she's wearing shorts too so I guess no panty shots either. But then again, didn't people get tired of that win pose back in XX/X2 after seeing boss I-No do it so many times? LOL.

But seriously, I don't think her new design counts as censorship. We have no proof of it. Maybe I-No's breasts were getting saggy and she was self-conscious about it? Besides, while it's true that she's more covered up than before it's not like she's suddenly dressing like nun.

SNK announced series veteran Chizuru Kagura is coming to The King of Fighters XV. She, Kyo and Iori will form The Sacred Treasures team.

This the first time Chizuru was playable since 2003. This is also the first time that the Sacred Treasures was featured in KOF as an official team. In previous entries the Sacred treasures team was a special edit team.

Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash announced for Nintendo Switch, which looks to re-work a lot of the game's core systems.

Gougi Decks are now completely gone from the match experience and are now replaced with a number of new EX moves / systems.
