The "I Want Suggestions" Thread

Mirror's edge needs more love. It's not as bad as everyone says. Also PoP (the Prince of Pirsa "remake") and Forgotten Sands if you like that series.

The Dead Rising games are pretty fun, although the online is dead in the water.

Both should be pretty cheap by now. If you get Catherine try to find a copy with the uncensored covers. For some reason a few places thought the covers were too naughty and had them cropped.

If I do, should I get the X-Box 360 one or the PS3? Does one play better than the other? I was thinking it for X-Box since I like it's box art better. Also how is this "naughty?"

From what I heard the game just looks a bit better on the PS3, but it's really not such a huge difference that would make you want it over the 360.

I honestly have no idea. I get the Catherine version, but I didn't think Katherine was a big deal, but they still cropped hers' as well.

Sorry, I forgot to reply! Some short and entertaining anime then... How about Afro Samurai? Then there are the two TTGL movies that pretty much go through the whole series, if you are interested in that. Is there any specific genre you were going for?

I have a good amount, but most of them I don't really play once I've beaten it unless I'm playing with a friend. So, I'm trying to find a good game that will keep me entertained longer than the usual time it takes me to beat it. I'm interested in Survival Horror games thanks to the Resident Evil series. Are there any that might be good? I'm thinking about Bioshock. Also, I need some RPG games too, since the only one I have is Kingdom Hearts.

If you liked RE6, you should definitely get Revelations and RE5. In the case of RE5, preferably the Gold Edition, but only if you have the online subscription because the DLC still needs to be downloaded from XBLA. RE4 and Code: Veronica X are also available for download from there.

Since you are into horror games, then I would definitely suggest getting both Silent Hill Homecoming and Downpour. Alan Wake is a good choice too.

You also seem to lack SFIV from there so obviously you should go for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. For other good fighters go for the BlazBlue (start from Calamity Trigger) and King of Fighters series (anything but XII).

Grand Theft Auto V is also highly suggested.

I've played Yu Yu Hakusho: Tournament Tactics, Bleach: The 3rd Phantom, Advance Wars and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (the last one I borrowed and never got far in it) and I'm looking for Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. Is there any other Tactical role-playing game I should be looking for?

Eh, dead space 3 is an iffy at horror... But dead space 2 is by far the best. In fact, I just played it today to try to beat my 7th play through of it.

Since Tactics Ogre was already mentioned: Soul Nomad & the World Eaters, Pokémon Conquest, La Pucelle: Tactics, Phantom Brave, Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure and Koudelka.

Good luck finding that last one. It's the first game in the Shadow Hearts series, even though none of the sequels had any TRPG elements, and a true forgotten gem.

Koudelka is a TRPG? I thought it would have been a regular RPG. I kinda had my eye on it (and the rest of the Shadow Heart series) just to see if they were good as I've never heard of them aside from this site and a page on TVtropes.

Shadow Hearts is an amazing game. My ex was a big fan of them, that's why I busted my ass hunting down a copy of Koudelka for her.

In any case, Koudelka is a regular RPG (with horror elements) up until you get into a battle. The battles are grid based and work like any other TRPG but has it's own twist by giving you the option to choose where you want to damage the enemy, much like in Fallout. It's a really interesting game.
